Yikes, what garbage. It's like two acts of one movie and the third act of another. None of it connects or knows how to build towards a common plot or theme.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostTonight Twitter reminded me of how fucking abhorrent "The Lovely Bones" is.Good book, trash adaption.
Tucci was good (as usual)
Watched Hostiles last night. Looked great. Good acting (plemons and bill camp yalaweeeeee). Bit basic and didn’t really earn its ending but whatever.

Is the Deer Hunter worth watching? It's on iPlayer. Never seen any Cimino.

I really enjoyed The Death of Dick Long.
Don't think I'll ever look at Nickelback's This is How You Remind Me the same way ever again.

The Man With The Golden Gun
Moore continues to be the worst Bond and this is another terrible film in the series that didn’t know when to stop for good (and neither do I :(). At least Christopher Lee is suitably hammy and provides a good foil for Bond’s utter ineptness.
Also oh no. The annoying sheriff is back and even more grating than he was in the previous one ffs.
The Spy Who Loved Me
Continues to be as silly and ludicrous in the Moore era as ever, but that theme song is so damn good.
About half an hour too long due to the ridiculous amount of explosions in the third act, no surprise this was directed by the same guy who directed “You Only Live Twice”, which had similar problems in its third act.
Moonraker
what’s wrong with me
why do I continue to torture myself
Why is a Bond film this silly and outlandish
why won’t it just stop
why can't I just stop watching trash
For Your Eyes Only
I think this might be the best Bond film with Moore in it that I've seen so far....great stunts, tense set-pieces and really quite well-directed.
Moore is probably the best he's been too, although he still manages to make unnecessarily silly jokes in the wrong situations. The girls are pretty boring too and that theme song is extremely dull. Still, I was entertained.

A View To A Kill
Sir Roger Moore as Bond is finally over. Hooray. What a (boring) run that was. Just a magnificent series of dull and lifeless events where Moore drags his way through it like a shambling zombie. Thank god it’s all ended.
Walken (so odd to see him in a Bond film :lol) and Jones are the weirdest lovers in history. Both insane, but at least one has the good grace (ha!) to go out on their own terms.
The Living Daylights
This was excellent and brought back a sense of seriousness to the franchise after it lost its way during the Moore era. Dalton is believable and vulnerable and set the tone for Daniel Craig in future installments.
A rollicking good time and I wish Dalton got more opportunities.
License to Kill
Really enjoyed this, a precursor of sorts to the rip-roaring Casino Royale.
Dalton is excellent once again, it's a shame he never got to do any more Bonds. It was great to see him bruised and bloodied, gives him a harder edge than his predecessors.
The action was absolutely fantastic too and the theme song blasting away is always fun to hear.
One of my top 3 Bond films so far.

No Black Panther 2 window yet two years later, and rumor is Chadwick Boseman isn't gonna return because Marvel won't bring the money.

Still wish Kit Harington was playing Wolverine, would be cool to have an actual short guy in the role

Emilia Clarke is passable in some roles. I liked her on Last Christmas and that movie where she takes care of a guy in a wheelchair.
By reilo Go To PostThat was August pre-COVID. You haven't heard shit since then and it's not in the Phase 4 calendar. They will work out something. It's not like Marvel can replace him but his career post BP hasn't been great.
21 Bridges was a bomb and he doesn't have any big projects lined up.
did they ever replace an actor before? I don't think Hulk counts since they scrubbed the whole movie lmao

Plus it'll be a terribad look if the only two actors they've replaced were black, especially when Chadwick was the lead in a $1.3bil first entry.
on top of all that, he's one of the most popular avengers, especially now with RDJ and Evans leaving.
By reilo Go To PostChadwick might not care unless they pay him. Plus that argument doesn't hold much water when the likes of Chris Evans weren't really doing shit prior to MCU.That's true. That's why I think Marvel will fold eventually but they will push it as far as they can.

All the delays give them some more time to work a deal.
As far as I know, he is still voicing an episode of the What If animated show.
By Yurt Lockhart Go To Poston top of all that, he's one of the most popular avengers, especially now with RDJ and Evans leaving. Is it really him or the suit though
because the only dude's face I remember seeing from Black Panther was Killmonger. Anytime I saw BP it was the mask.
Just watched bad boys for life then immediately watched the original bad boys to wash the taste out of my mouth. It's shocking how much better the script was in the original.
