By Dipro Go To PostI'm rereading Dune atm and i'm hyped af for this movie. Please don't push it to 2021.
they'll have to.
but i don't think it's going to matter: it'll bomb either way.
By Daz Go To Postwtf? The full thing is worse. Arranged marriages are often terrible.
Warner Bros still have a few movies that could change dates and the current date for Dune is a bit dangerous. It's opening alongside Spielberg's West Side Story and Coming To America 2, Top Gun 2 and Tom & Jerry the following week.
By Pennywise Go To PostI remembered catching a glimpse of a tiddy in the OG back when I was younger.
not a good still but it's Denis Villeneuve, it's gonna be good.
By RrusheR Go To PostAlready sick of Chalamet to be honest, dude's way too much of a soft pretty boy.people are just fascinated with his hexagon face
By Kibner Go To PostThe full thing is worse. Arranged marriages are often terrible.pretty sickening watching just 5 seconds of that - imagine we just saw a glimpse of the rest her life.
By Yurt Nomura Go To PostDaz I didn't mean to rile you up with that, I just wanted to slap Bacon in gif form.I just wanted to make sure n8 wasn't with one of his students now all schools are closed.
By bud Go To Postwhat i'm wondering is… how did the woman's parents/family react to him slapping her? They chastised her for angering him.
By bud Go To Postthey'll have to.who cares. the movie got made and villneuve will have plenty of gigs.

By Yurt Nomura Go To PostDaz I didn't mean to rile you up with that, I just wanted to slap Bacon in gif form.I lost "the one" to arranged marriage political BS a once upon a time, so this kind of stuff still kind of stings.
sorry daz bb <3 I don't believe in soul mates, there are many ones out there. Follow your penis and you'll be fine
you don't talk to bud like that

Diamonds are Forever
Connery's last official Bond film (no, Never Say Never Again doesn't count) is sadly one of his most boring. Farcical and silly, featuring one of the worst Bond girls, Tiffany Case, who is like a precursor to Willie from 'Temple of Doom'. Just an awful character. Even the action is boring. No redeeming qualities at all.
Live and Let Die
Not much better than 'Diamonds are Forever', Roger Moore's first Bond really jumps the alligator (ha, get it) and he's such a ridiculous Bond, it's hard to take him seriously in the role. Far too jokey for my liking.
The racism was also awful to see in a big blockbuster like this, hugely stereotypical and in bad taste. I truly hated the sheriff, his voice was grating and his acting was really over the top.
Pure crap. At least the theme tune is a banger.
I also fell asleep during both films which says a lot :lol

By Yurt Nomura Go To PostDean I'll save you the trouble just watch Casino RoyaleLooking forward to rewatching it, the best Bond film in recent years....
By reilo Go To PostCR might be my personal favorite action movie. In fact, I have the 4K UHD Blu-Ray on the way.Nice, let me know how it is
On another note, I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies and I have a standing bet to watch all of them with my best friend. I have never read the books. So, here are, thus far, quick reviews:
Scorcere's Stone: Meh? Decent world building, pretty poor production values, and pretty boring throughout.
Chamber of Secrets: Bad. It's almost a remake of the first. In fact, if you never watched the first movie, you wouldn't miss out on anything. It plays on the exactly same beats albeit with much better production values (despite having a lower budget), but that final act was putrid. The final fight was basically anime-filler boss fight that made no sense. In fact, the entire plot makes no sense.
Prizoner of Azkaban: What a departure, oh my. Cuaron's vision and quality control are all over this, with much improved cinematography and guidance to how the characters should behave, and it actually expands upon the universe. The plot is above decent and the movie moves fluidly with an added edge. That being said, Cuaron is clearly too good to be a franchise director so I am glad he only directed one of them and moved onto better things.
I don't know if I can watch the rest.

it really was the only decent one, bet be damned, take the most beautiful L.

I'm still gobsmacked at the "You will die in 1 minute from the snake poison, Potter!" *bird cries on Harry's arm* "Of course! The tears of a Phoenix can heal!" Seriously, anime boss fight. So bad.
The HP films are just shoddy adaptations of the books which I loved as a child :(
At least they got the adult actors right

Whatever happened to Adrien Brody’s career? I’m watching Peaky Blinders and he shows up and I don’t see him do anything anymore. 90% of his work is trash movies and then he has The Pianist which I never saw but apparently he won awards from it
By FortuneFaded Go To PostYou don’t watch Wes Anderson movies?Apparently not.

i forgot that Dune is only part 1. i retract my statement about not caring about the movie's financial success.

Why do you continue going if you are turned off by them?
By Freewheelin Go To PostLive and Let DieMy dad told me growing up that the river boat scenes in this movie were filmed on the Amite river that flowed by his house in South Louisiana (but north of NOLA where the rest of the film was done). I still haven't watched the movie, though.
