You Only Live Twice
Absolutely ridiculous and not in a good way. Bond fakes his death, becomes Japanese (lol, srsly), watches a sumo match, meets ninjas and fights Blofeld and his goons in a volcano that doubles as a rocket launchpad. That is far too much for one film and it's not surprising to read that the producers had problems with the script.
It was pretty cool to finally see Blofeld for the first time properly and there is a sense of colourfulness in the culture and locale (even if it's not decipited very well)
Overall, not a very good Bond film.
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Far more interesting than whatever the hell ’You Only Live Twice’ turned out to be. Lazenby also did a good job, considering the pressure on him and the fact that he wasn’t a trained actor.
There’s a couple of really well-shot action sequences and the final scene is just heartbreaking.
Would have liked to see Lazenby do more Bond films, he certainly fit the part.
