This cunt loves a shaky cam and quick cut that makes it difficult to discern what's actually suppsoed to be going on.
edit: huh, seen quite a lot of his stuff. Armageddon, Cloverfield, Lost and the two Star Wars'
Sucker Punch is his magnum opus. You trolls aren't even trying now, you're not real snyder hive. Justice League is gonna be great though bless.
By Hitch Go To PostWatching Mission Impossible 3Movie is only worth it for Philip Seymour Hoffman hamming it up.
This double life stuff is boring as fuck. Get on with it. The quips are dreadful as well.

By n8 dogg Go To PostDisso/ZaboI will allow it. If only because the other week you reminded me that I never got around watching Show Me A Hero, and I did, and it was great.
Just watched Blade Runner again. Better this time. I was half wrong. You were half right.
This is all I will submit to.
TeneT is better the second time you watch it because the only thing that matters the second time around is the time device.
Pumped to see La Haine added to BFI Player. A pity I didn't get to see its theatrical re-release.
A few Almodóvar's added too.
And a White, White Day too.

1 and 2 (it had the john woo flair, shut up) are great.
didn't care for the third one; felt too much like a standard hollywood action movie, which i feel the last two ones are as well.
they're fine, though, i guess.

Fallout is one of the best blockbusters in recent memory. The Paris car chase is stunning.

Yeah I like good food and good cinema. Two things you have never shown the ability to appreciate
Rewatched Fellowship of the Ring (in 4K) for the first time since it was in cinemas. It's more enjoyable than my mind remembered, paced better too, which is a surprise because it's still 3 hours long.
Maybe Two Towers was where it sours in my memory

not nate but bad live action looney tunes movie with a dumb story, ugly action, and the worst direction outside 2 and 3
By Apollo Go To Postnot nate but bad live action looney tunes movie with a dumb story, ugly action, and the worst direction outside 2 and 3Hard disagree on the action comments I think the smaller set pieces are pretty inventive and more creative than Car And Bike Chases and Some Flying Stuff that occurs in 5 and 6.

FOTR is a miraculous movie.
TTT really drags for me now. I went to an extended edition marathon last year at the Prince Charles, and FOTR and ROTK kept me completely enamoured. Fell asleep for large parts of TTT. Helm’s Deep still rips though.

All the good bits of TTT happen in the last 45 mins or so. So, its kind of uneven - but I would argue its the most important part of the trilogy.
My favorite has always been the Two Towers. If anything ROTK is the one that felt like it didnt reach the hype the previous ones did.
Just re-watched Batman Vs Superman and it's even worse than I remembered. The Martha scene during the big fight gets the most hate, but everything building toward the confrontation was a mess as well. Why were so many looking forward to Snyder's Justice League movie again?

Watched Cronenberg's Crash last night, reminded about it purely because he's a Star Trek star now innit. Damn, I need to get me a freak like that!

Started my rewatch of the LoTR trilogy. The opening 20 minutes of FoTR is just perfect. The prologue leading in to Bilbo's 'Concerning Hobbits' narration, to Gandalf's introduction. It's all wonderful. And backed up by that brilliant soundtrack.
I actually like the Ultimate Cut of BvS quite a bit. It's not high art, of course, but it definitely does something different with the characters on screen then we have seen them do in other outings.
Batman is a deranged and sadistic crime fighter. He is disillusioned and has trended towards hatred and fear.
Superman struggles to find his place in a world that both worships and hates him in equal measure. His youth and inexperience make him cocky. He wants to do what is right, but his pride gets in the way.
The editing is far more comprehensible, the score and cinematography are top notch, and many of the fight setpieces are well done. There are funny and glaring issues, but none moreso for me than 90%+ of all cape movies.
Justice League was one of the biggest turds I've ever seen, though, no hyperbole, so I am excited to see what ZS can do with reshoots and recuts.

By Not Go To PostAh, that's the extended edition
Funny enough I love the TT Extended, but the FOTR extended is just too much prologue for me outside of the one time I watched it. I am far too anxious for Gandalf to arrive and for the plot to get moving lol, although I understand why others love it.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostCaché is legit one of the best films of the 2000s. Haneke is a genius.

Just marathoned through TTT Extended. It's no FoTR, but still great. Better than I remembered. I don't know if it's the immaculate IQ of the new editions, the timing, nostalgia or what, but it's really hitting home for me.
Crazy how good Gollum still looks almost 20 years later, though obviously not as mind-blowing as it was at the time.
Maleficent on bbc1. I think it's funny that Sharlto Copley has got a successful Hollywood career out of being Blomkamp's friend.
By Zabojnik Go To Post"But they were all of them … deceived."It's just brilliant. Finishing off FoTR now. Just got to Lothlorien. The extended sequence from leaving Rivendell to Gandalf Vs the Balrog is as good as it gets imo. Perfectly paced, brilliant action and soundtrack.

Cate Blanchett is stunning as Galadriel. She was just 30 when filming her scenes, but so convincing playing an ageless, ethereal being.
