By Daz Go To PostI hope your place is big enough, because…It fits. Had it for about 4 weeks. Love the TV. Huge, BRIGHT upgrade from a 65" Plasma.
By Daz Go To PostOh, wow - whats up, Elliot.
For the love of God, do NOT read the comments.
By Laboured Go To PostYeah about 10GB less than I was expecting (they're the extended versions). Claims to be 10 bit HDR with Dolby Atmos. Presumably has a number of language audio tracks cut out and not full bit rate.I shall sacrifice myself for science and check it out for everyone. Just a couple of minutes to get an idea of the quality, of course.
Got the 40 GB version, watched an hour of it. Looks great, effects have been cleaned up a bit.
I'll try for the 110 GB next for that complete LOTR bliss.

By Not Go To PostGot the 4k discs. Gonna spread them out over the monthThat’s like 130 discs a day
Watched John Wick 3, enjoyed it
I'm one of those cunts who prefers the story bits to the action scenes. How much of the dog stuff was CGI? Assume you can't train dogs to be quite that precise in their timing.
Keanu is looking a bit jowly now, feel like his age was kinda acknowledged in the amount of hits he took where he was more in control of his fights in the first two.
Still need to watch The Raid, they took it off Netflix like the day before I was going to

Raid 1 is so good, I can't believe they topped it with Raid 2 though.
Also Ong Bak, everyone needs a little Ong Bak in their life.

Wick 3 was already too much, and it didn't even wrap up the story.
All i need is a single mook to look at the camera, look at Wick, and just get the fuck outta there because he knows Wick has already killed ten thousand identical mooks. Just a tiny bit of self awareness and it would be fine, I'd still be onboard.

Yeah that was my feeling too. Also a lot of the action scenes, while more bombastic, had none of the quick flow that I enjoy.
John Wick series is too much in to love with its crappy 'lore' for me to care about any of them. The first one was cool.
John Wick series is mostly forgettable. The first one was shot brilliantly but the actual action is pretty mediocre.
1 > 3 > 2
After 1 they definitely lean too much into their own lore, but still have some great action set pieces. Hope they end the story in 4 because how much can they drag it out.

By Not Go To PostI don't remember anything in 2it had the worst sequence of any of them, that ridiculous one where he and Common walked through a subway station casually shooting at each other while nobody noticed their magically silent guns.

Uh oh we have a silencer / suppressor purist. /jk
I enjoyed it as it was entirely comic-natured and intended.
The Matrix is still gud
Do the sequels and cartons etc go into a)why the ai put such severe limitations on their ability to control the Matrix and b)how are they not actually killing dozens of innocent people if death in the Matrix causes death in real life
Not that any of that stuff took me out of it, but they came to mind while watching. Barely remember anything about the sequels beside the motorway sequence and Neo being blind on a platform with tendrils, assume the lore gets worse the more gaps it fills, given the reception to them. And it's a universe that's absolutely ripe for overexplanation and collapsing under its own weight.
Hugo Weaving is great. Really enjoyed the run of scenes spanning the pills, the pod, the lore dump and the training programmes.

Article mentions Godzilla vs Kong and I forgot that was even a thing. Sending that to stream is smarter than sending it to die in theaters.
By Apollo Go To PostNolan did it. He changed cinema forever
don't doubt disneys gonna do something similar with +
glad theaters are dead as the obligatory way to watch new movies

Dune is the one film that probably needs to be seen at the cinema.
Blade Runner 2049 just isn't as good on TV screens. Villeneuve needs those wide vistas.

I understand that some people won't have good home systems like the SLAENT Elite, and those people don't deserve to watch films. They should get a job.
