Ok. Just finished WW84. Shlock movie but not as terrible as some made it sound. It's neither Thor2 nor BvS level of bad.
2 quick things though:
1st: Whoever went ham on the fake digital film grain/noise. Fuck you. Distracting in both the HDR10 as well as the Dolby Vision version.
2nd: The optics of having IDF sympathizer Gal Gadot fight Egyptian security forces after an Egyptian "racist" wishes his land back and have the "heathens" banished forever, culminating in a giant wall through the city of Cairo resembling the Israeli West Bank wall and then have Gal Gadot grab on to a missile Steve Trevor fires on Egyptian kids playing on a road is bonkers. Fucking bonkers. Not spoiler marking this because everybody who cares or not cares should know this. Fuck Gadot. Fuck Patty. Fuck Chris Pine. Fuck anyone involved in this mess who thought that was ok.

Zack Snyder's Army Of The Dead hasn't even got a trailer and the prequel has already finished filming.
Matthias Schweighöfer directed it and is also the lead.
Think it's is first job as a director on a movie, he previously directed (and stared) in You Are Wanted, a Amazon Original show that I heard good things about.

But that was said by Chlöe Grace Moretz and she has a past history of working with some shitty people.

People don't necessarily need to like what you like. I can say without problem that David Lynch is certainly unique and we'll regarded. But I wouldn't recommend anything I've seen from him.
Mulholland Drive, Dune, Twin Peaks, I hated anything I've seen from his stuff. Our subjective impressions doesn't say shit about the singular qualities. Or the sum of its parts.
And that's ok. Some have trouble articulating these impressions or don't have the time or energy to do that. And that should also be fine.
"I didn't like XYZ" doesn't necessarily need to be followed by a 35000 all caps - my name is FILM CRIT HULK - essay, explaining why everybody should feel bad liking XYZ.

i never thought about it (because i don't do dubs) but that's obviously the case for a lot of dubs made in white countries.
