Look how high Pique has pulled the defenders shirt, you can tell by the back of the defender, the shirt is being tucked high, this is as Pique is faling onto the ground. It was comedic in realtime, it's equally laughable now.
This is in contrast to the first penalty because Bousquets was doing the only pulling/tucking of the shirt, wand was in clear violation of a goal scoring oppurtunity. Was it a soft penalty? Debatable, I think so actually. But was it a penalty? 100%.
One wrong penalty call in a game like this can be excused, but two wrong calls benefiting the same team? With VAR in action? Bitch plz, don't sugarcoat it.

Don't get me wrong pulling someone in penalty box by his shirt is stupid as referee will always see that by looking at someones shirt and miss the arm pull (ok to give pen). But the same happened later and in that case shirt pulling wasn't seen by him, but VAR should have corrected it.

8 goals in 6 matches in CL isnt too bad, especially when they were against Liverpool and Napoli (and Genk, which is obviously less impressive). Also good in the Austrian league, but obviously who the fuck knows how that translates, or if he can keep up his CL form in a better league. But he is 19, and apparently fairly cheap with his release clause, so worth a gamble for a lot of clubs.

But if you have var and you see someone being pulled down because someone is hanging on his shirt, it is stil a penalty.
Was hoping that var would be used to get rid of those situations at freekicks /corners, but it is still almost as bad as prior to the introduction of var.

Looked pretty good against Tottenham and City. Seems to have straighten his life up a bit and it shows in his form. He could still lapse though, and start another clothing line or some shit.
A good squad player to have. Definitely need someone better as a regular first teamer in his position though.
