By FootbalIFan Go To PostI see, Dembele is incredible but incredibly frustrating at the same time so hopefully he's not too similar to Dembele in that regard hahaLarry David look alike, former Boca manager, Carlos Bianchi
Also your avatar is very small what is it
Bianchi used to be on TV over here all the time and pretty much got roasted every time because he looks like one of our founding fathers.
Larry David doing a reenactment of our independence movement is something I've dreamed about for years.

Mirror also saying we're going to try and get Eriksen in January and Spurs preferring to sell than let him go on a free.

Fucked it.
Oh well, Minamino and a league title will have to be a consolation to my untimely death in 5 years in a hospital waiting room whilst they try to work out what my insurance covers.
It's weird because my work just gave me a bunch of private health benefits and I have the paper work on my desk and I actually feel kind of sick about it.
I blame Fawkes for all this.

By sohois Go To PostTo be charitable, I imagine when people complain about the loss of British, or American, or French or whatever culture, they don't really mean the loss of some amorphous national characteristics, but rather are all complaining about the same basic thing, which is the loss of traditional culture for modern culture. By which I mean, going from living in small communities where you'd know all your neighbours and have strong local connections, to living in large cities with few connections or sense of community. Human happiness seems like it did well in the former, and poorly in the latterTo be less charitable: most of these people, even those most likely to be tossed into a Horse-operated incinerator, aren't old enough to remember the small communities, pristine countrysides, and local traditions. Capitalism destroyed all that long ago, in an age practically prehistorical to our 24-hour-news-cycle minds. Simmel was theorizing about this shit more than a century ago, and Tolkien was penning fantastical panegyrics to their passing before most of these people were conceived.
It's about fucking whiteness and imperialism and the feeling of impotence when they can't be as brazenly hateful and awful as the people that were gone before they were even born. It's about knowing that the World Wars ended before they were old enough to walk, never mind fight, and they're living out a phantom existence, wishing for a war that would give their vacuous lives meaning. It's about being envious of the past and the dead, all the more powerful because they're unknown in their realities - perfect screens for weak projectors.

By Cleff Go To PostWorth mentioning as well that John Finucane's father, a lawyer, was murdered as a result of British state collusion with loyalist paramilitaries.

Very much enjoying the Liverpool ITKs being the only people on the planet absolutely insisting we were in for him. #Small

Well there we go, in a shocking turn of events that shocked nobody incompetent party A beat incompetent party B in the elections so expect many years of incompetence ahead. The funniest thing is none of this will make Brexit happen quickly or in a way that makes the majority happy & it will still be the drawn out shit show of a bad idea it's always been.
On another note i've got to say it was disappointing & disturbing reading some of the replies about culture yesterday, i'll be polite & say they were a combination of ignorance & anger at the left losing the election.
