By Oddinho Go To Post? I think Klopp is amazing. The best coach in the world. I just wonder what prompted the change in tactics, whether we bought players to fit the switch or we switched because Klopp (and his team) realized what we could do with the players we have.Conserving for the long run I guess.
By inky Go To PostKlopp's influence on Liverpool has been ~10% at best. They'd be the same under Big Sam or Woy:lol
When I said it was disconcerting I meant in relative terms to how we've been battling for our wins this season, that match just now was a far cry from basically all the other matches we've played this season. Plus I'm not sure I've seen Bournemouth that lifeless and meek since they got promoted. Even when we've battered them in the past, they've fought. Once Ake went off, the match was pretty much done. The only way Bournemouth could have gotten back into it would have been a red card and a goal.

Still don't understand why United didn't go for Klopp or Pep when they were available. Really doesn't make sense.
Was it because of their less than stellar last years at their then current clubs? Who knows.
Don't @ me bitches.

Might be coming to the end of my time on shift, struggling to sleep for more than 4 hours at a time for the last year or so.
edit: Man Utd did approach Klopp, but sold themselves as a marketing project rather than a footballing one.
Some people on reddit are saying ISPs are blocking it. Wankers.

Klopp definitely would have gone to Man Utd if the timing and circumstances were right. There'd be no reason not to if Woodward wasn't such an overbearing and counterproductive presence. Big club, big fanbase, hovering just below the top, plenty of resources to get back there, enough of a challenge to appeal to him. I get the feeling that if he has another job in him when he leaves us, he'd still decide against joining a team that is already fully functioning and just needs to carry on ticking over.
By all accounts Klopp legit enjoys working with people who can take a lot of the strain off of him behind the scenes, where your Rodgers' and Rafas want to have a major influence in all aspects of the club. He'd have ended up just being frustrated by Woodward sticking his oar in in areas he's incompetent, and refusing to let go of a bit of power and actually hire someone to oversee the footballing operations properly.

holy shit this is a stat:
Phil Parkinson is the first Sunderland manager to ever lose 6 away games in a row. Bear in mind our 15 and 19 point PL seasons... that is amazing.

Klopp has mos def evolved, he created a great attacking system and then reinforced it with a great defense. He's got to be given credit for a system that maximizes fullbacks, I think the only one that came close was Conte's first year at CHE.
By Daz Go To PostI can't see past a defeat. The gap in quality has never been so big.I remember the days when you guys had a much better squad than City and you still lost to them. So chin up, anything can happen.
Believe in Rashers.

hmm strange. works for me fine after i did that.
We are still not there yet. Finishing, defending is a little erratic, but we aren't terrible. Looking good at parts.
