By Hitch Go To PostThis is disconcertingly easy so farSpurs fans, man. SMH
By Hitch Go To PostIt's like he was bought to play in our old style, chaotic and looking for the killer ball as quickly as possible. We've been a lot more patient and possession-oriented since he joined, not to mention the increased focus on wide play through the fullbacks rather than incision through midfield.
Yup good point, he was unlucky with the timing of his arrival and subsequent injuries. I do miss the more direct and central play of the early days, it was easier on the eyes but it became too predictable. Transitionning to a focus on wide play brought better results.

I wonder sometimes whether it was a conscious decision by Klopp to play in a way that helps us score against teams that sit back and defend, or if it was just a realization that our fullbacks are incredible deliverers of the ball, and we should lean into that.
By Lunatic Go To PostThat invincibles season really damaged some people. 15 years later and they still not over it.Is this a dig at Arsenal ladsš¤
By Fergie Go To PostThat individual Son goal is incredible.
I'm old enough to remember the loooong wait for a United title all those years ago, so I totally understand what the Liverpool fans are going through.
I danced through the streets when I found out we had won the league. Doesn't mean I want you to win like š, just that I understand. š

I suspect it's probably more of the former. Switching to spamming crosses seems like the natural/desperate solution against teams sitting tight and deep. Don't think Klopp expected to strike gold like that with the fullbacks lol.

I reckon Klopp had a plan with his fullbacks, you don't just go for a LB that was in a relegated side unless you see something special in him, same goes with Gini. With TAA I can see Klopp grooming him into the type of player he needed. Again Klopp is a great coach, I don't see why Odd is so resistant to accepting that, lol.
If you gotta question how much a coach matters, just look at how shite Arsenal are even though they have a 150m+ striking force, and look at how well Sheff United have played under Wilder.
McTomTom will score a few bangers.

? I think Klopp is amazing. The best coach in the world. I just wonder what prompted the change in tactics, whether we bought players to fit the switch or we switched because Klopp (and his team) realized what we could do with the players we have.
We've played this pretty much perfectly since scoring the first. No overexertion, no stretching for loose balls, no silliness to open up even the slightest gap for a wobble. Just complete control. Nice match for Gomez to feel his way back into form especially.
Hope Bournemouth improve, this has been a nightmare for them. They've wanted this match to be over for a long, long time.
