By Fergie Go To PostVar incredible.how would you chance it, as only realistic optoins I see are:
At least the PL use. Absolute nonsense.
- no more offside, never going to happen
- on/offside not checked by var, back to linesman. Means 2/3 meter errors will not be checked by var
The, clear offside is not workable, as you still have to define clear by a rule and you still have the same problem(limit tech, one cm decissions)
Do understand the nonsense comments, but curious how anyone would solve it.

Enjoy footy again.
Give the refs a professional career and more training. Clear rules and not that bullshit like the handball rule.

Have a margin of error of a few centimeters or something
By Xpike Go To Postim glad British refs finally admit they havent read the rulesWe made the rules m8
So they drew the line that showed him onside.
Then they argued it was the part of the rule that a player can't put himself in an onside position coming from offside, it has to be the movement of the defender.
Then they said it wasn't that part of the rule, they redrew the line to show him offside.
Apparently all of this is done by hand on PS1 resolution images.

ditch VAR altogether
By confuziz Go To PostHave a margin of error of a few centimeters or somethingThat margin of error in the system is different, depending on speed , ball/player movement. (think defender and attacker both running in different directions, or stamding still.).
But even if you use a margin of error, you still get a line and the discussion of one mm more or less of that line (with margin of eror).does not go away.
Think overtime tech will improbe it, algorithms will draw lines quickly and the framerate of the cameras will improve. And it will be similar to goal line tech, were one mm jot over the line is already accepted, quick decessions and up untill than we will have to accept this "nonsense".
Ditching VAR will mean being ok with people being meters on/offside again, with modern social media thats going tp be even worse.
By domino Go To Postditch VAR altogetherits more like the british took a concept the rest of the world was doing fine with and tried their hardest to ruin it
really, the british way
