By /sy Go To Posteven deliverin lost cargo is important in this game. Got a holographic generator for my odradek from a lost cargo delivery to the film director. This isn't tied to lost cargo, just the stars you get with delievering stuff.
That's why I try to get everyone happy.
By FootFungus Go To PostThe more Inplay this game, the more it feels like the gameplay sequel to MGSV. A lot of the tech in MGSV just felt out of place in the MGS universe but here all of it is incorporated much better.Yeah. Kinda amazed that there is still new stuff introduced that just feels right.
By /sy Go To PosthuhHaven't really paid attention if chapter 5 appeared at the start. lmao
isn't chapter 4 literally just the mads fight?
Seems like Chapters don't really end until you start a certain story sequence. Just started chapter five, and planning deliver routes is pretty fun now that I have a UPS truck. I'm starting to build roads, for materials I usually just pull then out of stations I don't use much.
Getting the stars up for each outpost is pretty addicting, and it's cool that even the standard deliveries makes sense (Like the mother sending furniture to her daughter).

By /sy Go To PostfuckLol, damn. I reloaded my save as soon as I heard the bb cry when I killed a mule. The bola gun is really effective.
starting to regret killing all those mules, about to get hit with like 20 void outs smh
Is there a range limit on the zip lines or do they just need to be in sight of each other?

By /sy Go To Postthere's a range limit but you can upgrade it. Incredibly useful in the snow mountain region.Set a line up for the Elder, I've been ignoring the weather station so now I'm going to use some ziplines to gain some rep with them.
By Pennywise Go To PostAlso can't just build how many you want, sadly.gotta keep increasing the bandwidth m8
episode 7 spoilers
seeing the dead dolphins and whales in a world war II battefield is pretty striking visually. Wish there was a photo mode.

When I find lost cargo should I actually deliver it to its destination or am I fine to just leave it in a postbox? Just started the game.
By Punished Go To PostWhen I find lost cargo should I actually deliver it to its destination or am I fine to just leave it in a postbox? Just started the game.Better to deliever it to the destination, but you can also use a post box or a different outpost if necessary.
Someone else will pick it up and deliever it to the destination eventually.
I just need to five star the weather station and the collector before moving on to the mountains, although I've done a few deliveries for the collector but my rating won't go up past 2.
All roads are built, just claimed materials from the outposts.

By /sy Go To Postfinished it, that was a loooooooooooooooooooooooooot of cutscenes jfc.
How would you rating the game?
By Kidjr Go To PostHow would you rating the game?Loved the gameplay and all the systems. I'd give it a 7.5 to maybe an 8 out of 10. Final play time was 65 hours.
I would have never thought building roads and setting up ziplines just to build roads and set up ziplines could be so satisfying.
Worst part of the game were probably the heavy combat sequences. The UI and controls weren't made for it. I'm glad that they were so few of them. I enjoyed the spectacle setpieces as well and I appreciate the game never taking control away from me at any point and the lack of any slow walking sections.

By FootFungus Go To Postlol pretty low score for a game you sunk 65 hours into over a week.If I factored in the story or characters it'd sink to a 6 lol. I might actually drop it down to a 7 because there's an absolutely terrible sequence near the end of the game that just makes no sense.
a 7.5 would land DS in the BOTW, God of War, Mario Oddsey, RE2, Sekiro etc tier this gen for me. Great game, though it's probably gonna be awhile before I return to it.

I don't play many games But if I had to go by the 20 point scale, I'd give it an 8.5. I like the out of five rating better. I enjoy the loop, plays well and the game looks nice. I went in with low expectations for this game though.

That's some high praise. Honestly, I'm glad Kojima got away from MGS. I sensed that he was just trying to shove ideas into the MGS mold since MGS4. I look forward to his next project.

By FootFungus Go To PostI'm doing some of the mountain knot missions, how much more in terms of hours do I have?I feel like chapters 9-14 are mostly cutscenes.

wow.
Will the game be worse the longer you wait to play it as all the roads, ladders and ziplines have already been built in your instance?
By Hitch Go To PostWill the game be worse the longer you wait to play it as all the roads, ladders and ziplines have already been built in your instance?Nope. I'm sure all the roads have to be built by the user, I've never come across a user built road, they can contribute materials for repairs though and foundation but it appears you'll have to do the majority of the work yourself.
There will always be ladders and climbing anchors but like with the roads, there's some server/coding trickery going on where they game never allows a completed Zipline and there's a big section of the game where of you don't set up your own Zipline network, it'll be hell.
A huge chunk of road was built for me in the beginning section, I couldn't tell if it was part of the game or if it was pulling it from someone else. Other than that, I've had to build all the roads.
Yup.
Same experience.
There are a few zip lines along the way, you still have to build alot of your own, but it helps when somebody set up a good one. Especially the mountain ones are well placed by some people.

i’m in chapter 3. just fyi: the engineer is a good man. make sure to deliver him his lost cargo and help him out in other ways. he’ll reward you. not with a succ, but with some nice things.
Had a busy week, so didn't touch the game much in the past week.
Game really picks up in difficulty in Chapter 6 when BB is gone and you got to traverse in the snow.

I'm only like 3 parcels in and I really love it
don't mind the cutscenes so much if they're just as good and interesting as the ones I've encountered so far. I'm in the mood for a slowburn game
any drawback to just holding L2+R2 indefinitely? Seems like the wise thing to do. Stamina?

also remember to always do the "optomize cargo" feature in the cargo menu.
lol the shouts are not all voiced by Norman Reedus it seems
edit: the frequency of songs is comical, I wish I could turn them all off.

The story cutscenes have been great and very selective. However, there is a cutscene for every fucking action you do at a terminal. Have to press skip like three times just to deliver a parcel.
By /sy Go To PostyepAight, I'm going to five star a bit more of the outposts and build as many roads as I can.
