Poch has mentioned not wanting to go the Barca because he managed Espanyol, no chance he ends up at Arsenal
seems crazy to sack him right now if they don't have a guaranteed replacement
Mou is probably too expensive and too much of a cunt for Levy
Allegri is the ideal company man, he doesn't moan even when you sell half his team.
not sure who else is out there too? Ancelotti? I'd be surprised if he gets sacked, ADL will absolutely force him to stay out of management or something, I think he did it at least once before somehow.

Gareth, pls
Lord, halp
If Spurs get Mou I really do expect it to be nothing short of catastrophic. They can't afford him, and I mean that as they can't afford to undo all of the very expensive mistakes he will make in a very short period of time.
This is going to cost so much more than it would've to simply back Poch in the first place. When being frugal ends up costing more. #Levy'd

Poch news wow, Spurs done fucked up.
I hope Mourinho doesn't go there now, Spurs won't back him with signings. Don't so it Mou.
Poch just as Zidane seems to be turning it around too, ouf, that suck for the dude.
Bale, haha, fucking hell you idiot.

Of course it will end in disaster after 3 years like all his tenures but we need to win something. The “lads it’s Tottenham” meme is becoming a mental issue for the entire club, if Mou can just win something with us then it will have been a good appointment. Sounds like it will be announced tomorrow.
Mou chronology to save you trouble:
this season - FA Cup
next season - League and Europa
third season - total collapse leaves Spur 12th in the league and Mou sacked in december

The news would be much more enjoyable if I didn't know that'd we're still going to be absolute shite.

Levy loves a bargain. 3 things for the price of one
My desperation for him to leave the Blades aside, I am legitimately shocked that Wilder doesn't appear to be in the frame here. His record over the last few years, even going back to his time at Northampton, is absolutely ridiculous. He's got them 5th at the minute and playing some of the best football in the league with an attractive system that nobody has figured out yet. Levy likes a deal too.. he'd be cheaper than anyone else they're linked with. He's brute forced his way ahead of Eddie Howe as far as deserving to be linked to bigger jobs goes.
Look, I get it. If you're at a new £1bn stadium in North London coming off a CL final you can't appoint a podgy bloke in a padded jacket from Yorkshire who still drinks in his local. Not if Mourinho is available. I'm developing a shit list of teams though who keep allowing him to work his magic at United while they pluck whoever is next up off the merry-go-round.

Besides, Pogbackback isn't going to pay for itself.
Mou back in time to fix Tottenham a few weeks before they play United.
Another butterfly effect moment in United's hilarious season.

Kane up top
Son wingback
Ndombele dropped
Dier being played every match
CF Dele Alli
counter attacking 3=5=2
This is incoming.

Really not sure what to make of that, to be honest. Think it’s potentially got the makings of a disaster, but then Mourinho’s always been better with underdogs.
One thing’s for sure.
Christian Eriksen is never playing again. Soft lad r us.

I really hope we start speaking to Poch now and get him in for the summer, a la Pep at City. Don’t miss this fucking opportunity, lads.

This is the longest break Mou has had between jobs, st least in the last decade or so.
If he's re-energised and has reflected on his drawbacks, this might be a savvy appointment.

By Lupercal Go To PostIsn't Mou quitting in summer when Levy refuses to sign anyone? He wont quit. He most probably wants a job in London to be closer to his family.
He'll be fired.
Mou could never shut up about how easy Wenger, Klopp and Poch had it in terms of the expectations placed on them by the hierarchies at their respective clubs. Makes me think there’s more to this choice than just working in London.

I think he thrives in lessened expectations to be honest. Porto winning the CL, then Chelsea as league upstarts in 04/05. Inter were helped by Calciopoli but certainly underdogs in the CL. Madrid were up against the greatest side in refdnt history and won a league title. Chelsea were expected to be old money against City and bossed the league, and then his best season at United was after coming sixth and being written off.
I think it’ll suit him for a while.
On one hand I'm sad cus Spurs don't really deserve what's coming (although Levy does), and on the other he won't be going to Arsenal which would've been box office.
Wonder what the minimum requirement is. Already 14 points off of 4th, seems like there's a lot more to this dip in form than the players being sick of Pochettino.
Reckon Levy is best off just focussing on getting their transfers set up well in advance of the summer (January if possible obviously) and looking to finish in the top 8. As pathetic as Mourinho was in terms of lowering expectations at Man Utd, I wouldn't expect anything at all from Spurs between now and next season starting.
Whether Mourinho has the personality to spend 6 months getting his feet under the table at a struggling team without poisoning everything even more is the issue imo

I'm not sure how Mou is going to do, but I'm going to go with probably meh in the first 2 years.
The biggest question is how is he going to manage without a Rui Faria? What I've read was Faria was important in smoothing his relationships with some of the players, pretty much playing peacekeeper.
