Not really getting integrated into the team. Struggles in the league, with Bayern footy and his position.

You could have had statues at Anfield :(
Then again, he paid for Van Dijk and Alisson so lol

Ajax should be safe until summer, ten Haag won't be leaving mid season. Like I said, Flick has been their security blanket. If he does well, he'll probably stick until summer. If he sucks, they'll probably go for someone else (more desperate) during the winter break.
I just wish we weren't so shit and I could enjoy the drama. 2 weeks ago, it rather looked like we'd fire Favre before Bayern would sack Kovac.

A lot of the 'big' clubs are fucked for the short term. None of them have any idea what their idea for a few seasons down the line is.
Munich, United, Arsenal, Madrid are all in a state of flux. I'll give Spurs a pass because at least there they knew what they wanted, but didn't account for things maybe just reaching their natural conclusion with Pochettino. Barca will be in the shit once Messi declines significantly or retires and Suarez does the same. I look at the make up of their squad and think they're being held together by the thinnest of strings.

which is cool i guess, gives a chance for new big clubs to rise up and create their own story. look at how the PL has changed from the united-arsenal show to being mainly about city/chelsea with liverpool joining recently

Immediately realise that he doesn't fit into the system anymore if we want to challenge for the title rather than top 4
A surprisingly enjoyable Milan - Lazio, could go either way.
Man, Milinkovic-Savic is a shadow of the player he was 2 years back.

Doubt someone like Wenger would only do it until summer. Doubt they'll try Allegri after Ancelotti.
Can't see them taking in Labbadia or someone similar.
I still don't see Favre safe.
It was important that we got the points against Wolfsburg and the cup win against Gladbach, we still played shit. Even though there were some small steps forward. Either way I guess we'll see a new coach on our bench during summer, unless Favre really turns everything around.
I wouldn't write Coutinho off at Bayern yet. Kovac's whole concept was based on Lewandowski saving their ass. The rest of their attacking players have been drifting between having an amazing game and then doing nothing for most of the time.
By Xpike Go To Postklopp was rightI remember when people were loling at the thought of him staying because he got to ride on for a loliga title. Liverpool would have not won that CL with Coutz, Allison and VVD brings much more balance to that team.
if cou wouldve stayed he wouldve had a cl by now and on his way to the PL
I think in general there aren't enough "great" coaches around to fill in the necessary spots.
Surely there are some really talented guys that would do incredible well, if they were given a chance.
Those clubs that are in turmoil are hardly giving those guys a chance, on top off not having a calm atmosphere that's necessary for them to grow.
It's one of the factors why Kovac got kicked out. Constant media presence, constant questioning and alot of other problems (the worst sport director they ever had, waited way to long until they replaced Robben/Ribery, internal power struggles within the team and club).
Can't speak for other nations, as I don't really have an eye on talented coaches in other leagues, but in Germany there aren't alot of candidates with potential currently.
In Germany there is Nagelsmann and Marco Rose. Tuchel already got a top spot, but he's a cunt that's poison for every club.
Kovac was really promising, but failed due the reasons I mentioned above and just being a step to early.
Apart from Nagelsmann, I don't see anyone having top tier qualities yet. Rose still has to prove it and alot of others as well.
Kind of a bummer that there aren't alot of quality new coaches coming through.

What's happened with Couts then, an article I read no more than three weeks ago said he was linking up perfectly at Bayern and had rejuvenated his form there.
By batong Go To PostWhat's happened with Couts then, an article I read no more than three weeks ago said he was linking up perfectly at Bayern and had rejuvenated his form there.Reactionary media.
I mean some outlets basically said it's the best player in the league when he arrived.
Not like he only had terrible games, but finding his position and integrating him isn't really working out so far.
Problem is that Bayern shifted around alot.
Hummels, Ribery, Robben out. Hernandez, Parvard, Coutinho, Perisic in.
They could have started their rebuilding phase last year, but decided against it.
Now they're struggling to integrate all those new players.

By Pennywise Go To PostI think in general there aren't enough "great" coaches around to fill in the necessary spots.Hm, I don't know. The arguably best coach in the world right now is German. Tuchel is also very good, although (a bit of) a cunt. It's just that for the first time in ages (ever?), our best coaches are working abroad. As for talent, it looks okay with Nagelsmann, Rose and maybe Kohfeldt. Problem is that Schalke kills some talented coach's career every year hahaha.

What I think changes a bit of the perception of the quality of coaches is that at the moment, a lot of the older coaches don't coach anymore. In the past, we had guys like Hitzfeld, Rehhagel, Lattek or Heynckes that were highly regarded and could always swoop in somewhere. Formerly successful older coaches right now are regarded as not good enough for modern football (Schaaf, Magath) or decided to step away (Rangnick, Sammer).

Nah. Failed my practical twice (once was my fault, second time I slightly hit the curb on a reverse parking manouevre and the instructor was a twat and overreacted). Then I moved into my own place and driving lessons got too expensive. Gonna get back on it in the new year hopefully, but haven't driven now for over a year.

I've been quite lucky I suppose; my secondary school was within walking distance, my school now where I work is within walking distance, and public transport is great in London. I didn't have the money at 17 to drive, and my ex-girlfriend and current girlfriend both drive so just never needed to.
Cagliari is one point away from third place (tied 4th technically)
what the hell is going on this season
also our xG might be absolutely ridiculous, we're creating so much yet finishing games with a goal or two max allegri
