Chelsea’s process is worth the poor big game results. They’re playing well, they’re fourth in the league by a distance, they have lots of British youth players starting and they have CL qualification in their own hands. Great season so far.

If we can convert some big game wins towards the end of the season, I'd see that as progress. I think we play five of the last seasons big six at Stamford Bridge, so hopefully we can make it stick.

He's really good at looking up where the attackers are in the box when he's crossing so his crosses often end up finding teammates even if he doesn't have the crossing technique of Beckham type. Bernard is crap. He's one of those filler type youth squad players. He was released by Chelsea and United picked him up at age 16? I think. He has mistakes in him and his technique is similar to CBs of yesteryear. Don't think he deserves game time at all, but he might be overrated by youth watchers who think every youth player will make it.
Levitt is good at passing between lines. Quick thinker to get himself out of trouble. I would say the difference between he and Gomes is that Gomes probably has slightly more ability for through balls, and Gomes is superior on the break due to being more technically gifted. I think Levitt's passing ability is superior to Gomes'.

I think they should exit all the cups competititions, including CL, as soon as possible and focus 200% on the PL. Most Pool supporters wouldn't care if they didn't make it past the group stages of CL and lost FA cup 1st round and Club World Cup semi as long as they win the PL.
But if they try to pull a "City" and compete for every single trophy out there, I think they'll regret it as you said.
