If you believe there's a move out there than improve you, you do it. Past results should factor into decision making but shouldn't solely dictate it.

How can you justify firing a coach a year removed from a Finals berth?
Simple, getting to the finals isn't the goal. And certainly not the only goal.
Have the thunder improved since they got to the finals 3 seasons ago. No. Not really.
Their offense is still a poo poo platter of really basic sets relying on individual brilliance to score.
He's still playing their stars WAY too many minutes in the regular season. On dumb rotations. In bench units that make no sense.
He still loves to ignore stats that show optimal formations of units and go with more "traditional" units. His unwillingness to experiment with lineup's is really terrible.
He is terrible at in game decision making. He gets out coached regularly in the play offs.
There are other things to look at. Brooks is a flawed coach, has been for a while. He gets guys to buy in. He's been great at creating a really good culture there. He got individuals to develop even if he didn't get the team too. He does many things well. But they seem to be regular season things, not post season things.
