The Spurs have a lot of cap holds that matter. Manu (10), Green (7.5), Leonard (7), Duncan (15), CoJo (5), Belli (4), Baynes (4).
In total, $57 million with $34 million in salaries locked in. take the $34, add in Kawhi and assume Manu/duncan retire, they waive the rights to the rest, they're at $41 million with almost $45 million with roster holds. They could sign Aldridge to a max and then sign Leonard, and then one Full MLE and minimums.
They could probably retain Green and give LMA a max or almost max contract, too. Green puts em at $48 million.
But if they hold on to the rights of Green, and anyone else (Baynes, CoJo, Bellinelli, Baynes) it makes it very tough. They could sign one of those players for less. The other wrench is Manu, should he return. If he takes $5 mil or less, they could keep Green and give a near max.
All this assumes Duncan retires. If he does not and earns anything like $7 million, retaining Green and signing LMA becomes very difficult.

How's that possible?Parsons cap hold was tiny because he was on a rookie min contract. Basically, they were paying D12 and harden on max contracts that were pre-$5 mil cap jump so they had space for one more max once they traded Lin and Asik for no money. If Bosh signed, then they could sign Parsons to a max. His Cap hold was like $2 or 3 million at most.
Kawhi's will be over $7 mil.
