By livefromkyoto Go To PostI think Lowry never got better. They held him out of the last two weeks with back spasms, then brought him back for the last 3 games, two of which he sucked in.I warned you that he stopped giving a shit after he made the All-Star game (remember how you celebrated that?) and got paid. Dude legitimately gives fewer fucks than Deron when he's not looking out for himself. You should have traded him while he still had value.
Now in the playoffs he's got a PER of 1.0 through 2 games. He's 5-20 with 10 fouls. Either John Wall is the NBA's greatest living defender, or that dude ain't right.
I can't tell if you're at denial or bargaining, but Lowry ain't shit and neither is your team.

this is so great
By livefromkyoto Go To PostDwayne Casey just coached the two best Raptor (regular) seasons ever and everyone is calling for his head after game 2. Coaching's a brutal game, man. Everyone's an expert, and everyone thinks every roster could be like the Spurs if they just passed more.Oh my fucking God I cannot believe what I am reading.
He still thinks Dwayne Casey can coach.
Holy fuck there is no saving this man.
Rondo is a fucking joke.
"But with the Mavericks giving up three key contributors in Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder and Jameer Nelson, plus a first round pick, for Rondo, I’m reminded of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s comments this past summer when talking about the difference between the Mavericks and the Rockets.
“(The Rockets) just have a different understanding and approach to chemistry than we do,” said Cuban. “Some teams, and that’s not just the Rockets, just put together talent and the talent takes care of itself. We think chemistry matters.”
Talk about blowing up in your face."
so good haha

the fact he won't admit the raptors aren't shit nor ever will be should of been the first clue he was delusional when it comes to his team

he'd be a perfect backup to CP3

By matrix Go To Postso good hahaMan, if we could sweep them, it'd really be a fitting end. One that Cuban deserves after all his shit talking.
By psychintellect Go To PostDo the Lakers have their pick next year?
Top 3 protected, otherwise Philly gets it iirc
By Moris Go To PostKings are the only team I could really see going after Rondo. After the way he has played, they can probably get him now too.Karl is not touching Rondo. Cousins going is because Karl and ownership believe in up tempo ball.
Teams with money to spend or who could get rid of a contract in order to take on Rondo:
6ers - Hinkie knows Rondo ain't shit
Spurs - FO knows Rondo ain't shit, plus Patty + Tony
Knicks - I don't think even the knicks will be that stupid
Magic - Have Elfrid
Blazers - Have Dame
Celtics - Been down that road
Hawks - Set at PG
Suns - Knight, Eric
Mavs - Literally sitting him during the playoffs
Pistons - Jackson/Jennings
Bucks - already have the MCW project
Raptors - not stupid, also have a PG
Lakers - If I'm being completely honest, LA is much more likely than the majority of these teams to offer Rondo money to play basketball.
Kings - FO is lousy, talks of sending out Cousin is all you need to know about how shit they are
Jazz - Need a PG, but I doubt they're dumb enough to entertain the idea of Rondo on that roster
Pelicans - maybe. Ownership/FO doesn't seem to have a clue on how to put together a team
Nuggets - They have Lawson, but if a trade goes down or they reshuffle their roster, seem stupid enough to gamble on Rondo, already gambled on Javale once.
My Pelicans already have 3 PG's better then Rondo. Perhaps 4. I am on the fence whether I would rather have Rondo or Jimmer if I had a gun to my head.
Lakers make the most sense to me. Rondo/Love with Byron Scott would be an epic disaster to Kobe's final year in the league. Yet I could see it.
By Moris Go To PostTop 3 protected, otherwise Philly gets it iircI am guessing yall tanking again?
By Moris Go To PostTop 3 protected,

By Moris Go To PostRaptors should blow it up TBHThey could have tanked for Wiggins but they bought their own delusional hype. Now ownership probably won't let them because of the Toronto All-Star game.
I gotta say my favorite part of all of this was the mass exodus of Canadian bandwagoners in the 4th quarter. Exposed that fairweather ass fanbase as nothing more than Miami North. For that, the Wizards will always be cool in my book.
By unknown Go To PostI am guessing yall tanking again?
Not the plan, but we'll end up bottom 6 or so I think.

Rondo style of going is done. You need a PG that can at least be a threat on the offensive end. That why I am not too high on Marcus Smart. Dude a goddamn chucker.

A lot of glass houses getting smashed to pieces around these parts. People better watch where they step.

Being good is always in. Rondo just isn't good anymore.
By DY_nasty Go To PostDon't know about that tbh. Westbrook at point is fine now. 2 years ago? Sure.Eh, YNB is still putting up massive numbers, but the offense is still poop for those around him if he gets it first.
Some of thats on the complete lack of system and stuff, but yeah.
By Jonm Go To PostBeing good is always in. Rondo just isn't good anymore.
When was he ever good tho? Posting the same struggle numbers his whole career, it was cool when Pierce, Ray and KG could catch and shoot all day and everyone assumed he could evolve.
He stayed the same player.

On those championship teams he was good. 50% shooting, Great defense and elite facilitating.
That Rondo, in the right situation, was a good player IMO.
I agree he never evolved. In fact he regressed. The game has changed and he couldn't adapt and what he could do, he has regressed in.

That situation is rare as all hell. Notice how his shooting % went to shit as soon as the HOFs left the roster.
At 29 you can expect his D to be nothing but downhill.

I'd say something but I'm past the point where jousting with Knick fans feels like picking on war orphans. I genuinely hope your team improves a lot this summer or you've got a legit season from hell in front of you.
As for the Raptors, the 3rd quarter last night was awful and going by the odds, probably did them in. They had no answer for Beal. But I'm not going to start sobbing because their problems are largely fixable. They're not what they were last year because Amir has been gimpy all season, and should have had surgery but didn't want to miss time in a contract year. That probably screwed him and he won't be back. Factor in Ross falling off a cliff and Lowry getting hurt down the stretch and you've got a team that's fallen short the first two games - although not with the 20 point blow outs some of the people on this board seem to be imagining.
They've got multiple draft picks, tradable pieces and cap space. If they can land a solid 3 and/or 4 during the offseason, there's no reason to believe they won't be back here next year better than they were. They've still got a couple of all stars, a decent young center and plenty of depth.
By Moris Go To PostWhen was he ever good tho? Posting the same struggle numbers his whole career, it was cool when Pierce, Ray and KG could catch and shoot all day and everyone assumed he could evolve.
He stayed the same player.
Rondo put up 17/10/10 in 2009, 17/12/7 in 2012 and 15/9/6 in 2010 playoffs, including several big games against the Magic, Cavs, and Heat. 09 was no KG year. Dallas would kill to have that guy on their team right now. Earlier this year they were better than any of those Celtics teams offensively.
He has regressed completely, even though his jumper was shaky he used to be a difference maker on defense and damn good at getting to the rim. Injuries and years of tankball ruined him.
By Moris Go To PostThat situation is rare as all hell. Notice how his shooting % went to shit as soon as the HOFs left the roster.

Of course. But he was good for what those teams needed. My argument is not much different then yours. I just think Rondo was actually good. In the right scenario. For a time.
Rondo, at his peak, was an elite system guy. Outside of lucking into the right system? He probably would of been out of the league on a lottery team.
