Good. Anything that is going to facilitate extra practice time during the season is a plus.

Did people expect more, though? They're not going to change the playoff format. They couldn't even pass lottery reform last year.

By Omzz Go To Post Some good news coming out of the NBA owners meeting. Going to reduce back to backs and the 4 games in 5 days next season. But other than that not much. 

Until the players actually raise a bigger stink too you won't see much. With Paul as prez pffft. 

That will.....significantly change the financial landscape of the NBA. Any contract signed this offseason for more than 2 years is going to look like a crazy bargain. I wonder if there are many (or any) players that are willing to take a 1 year contract to bet on themsleves for a much bigger payday in a year or 2?

Edit: Thinking more on it, Spurs will probably give Kawhi a max deal this offseason, and then people will still say they convinced another great player to stay there at a discount in a few years just because a max will be for so much less this offseason than in the next two.

I just scrolled past the parts he was being quirky, and got to the x's and o's stuff. Zach Lowe is disappointing me. 

a) Faking the handoff on the dribble hand off is like a million years old. Seriously dude. More than 4 people do that. 

b) that NOP play is kind of neat. But the ball handler is literally doing nothing. And the other perimeter player is like 5 feet away from you, killing him as an option. So the play gives you two options. AD alley oop or opposite wing 3. Which sounds good in theory, but if a play only has two options to stop, and everyone else is a complete non factor, it's actually super easy to stop. I expect GS to take like one half, at most one game, to basically shut that shit down forever. 

c) That Lebron running play is actually his old favorite play from the Cleveland Cavs days. With Kyrie playing the part of Mo. More proof that Lebron's drawing up the plays. 

Dammit, I can't find an example of it on youtube. But it used to be there like 5 years ago. Lebron would always gloat that it was their secret weapon unguardable play.
