You don't think Yao would still be in a Rockets uni if it weren't for injuries? Adelman even if we didn't have to rebuild? Not going to discuss JVG because that's a pre-Morey hire, who will most likely surpass a 10 year tenure with Houston when it's all set and done.
You're continuing to overlook damn near common sense points to validate your argument.
By db Go To Post We'll see how many FTAs Harden picks up in the playoffs. Probably not enough to push his team over into a win. Go Mavs.
Should I take the bait or should I not that the bait?
Nah.
Not really a bait job. If you think he's going to get as many calls in these games and push the team score past their opponents, welp.
Not to mention his choking in post season.

You spend a hell of a lot of time talking about what Houston would have done under a million hypotheticals instead of what they've actually done.
Don't a) complain about another franchise's player turnover and then b) make up hypotheticals to argue for why your franchise in fact has more turnover then theirs.
This isn't about common sense, or lack thereof. It's about you going to realllllllly far lengths to craft argument after argument after argument to defend every single component of your franchise and it's players.
I'm done talking about Houston. I'll gloat when your kicked out in the first round. I'm sure another first round exit won't let you or ChandlerParsons or TheKad entertain the idea that your system and management is flawed. But cult members are hard to convince.

Dirk and Yao were both franchise cornerstones. Dirk luckily avoided the injury bug.
Carroll Dawson retired. How can I logically hold that against Morey for not having a long tenure? He's at the least managed to keep the job for 8 years while somehow managing "to do nothing".
It's illogical to criticize Morey for his style of doing business, which will always have high turnover, yet want to tell me it's OK Cuban did the same exact thing. We're essentially trying to argue why the traditional method of team building will always be superior to Morey's somewhat unorthodox syle.
By db Go To Post It's possible to root for a franchise but realize critical problems. I guess it's how I roll because I don't do delusional.
Some games are called tightly, some games the refs just let the teams play. That is truly how the postseason works.
His FTA dropped from 9.1 for the RS, 8.3 in the Portland series. Only one game under 5 FTA.
Whether you want to argue that .8 is a significant drop-off, be my guess.
How do we still have people arguing free throw rates for star players drop without backing it up with actual facts
By Dark PhaZe Go To Post some of yall doin the motherfuckin most
All I see on a day to day basis is people trying to marginalize the Rockets organization.
We still do have to prove it in the postseason, I'm fine with that. But constantly calling McHale/McFail a bad coach or saying Morey hasn't done a tremendous job turning the team around since the Yao/TMac era is asinine.
No I'm not saying McHale is a top coach either.
By db Go To Post Rockets, forever the victims of everyone else, not their own ineptitude come playoffs time.
Depends on the user.
My story has been consistent all season long, the Rockets season will come down to seeding. There have been Rockets fans here and on GAF who would constantly state we were pretenders because we lost to teams like the Jazz.
We could still lose, but we got the most favorable first round matchup outside of a hobbled OKC team. I like our chances.

Blazers, team so irrelevant they have to find another team to root for
"go mavs" lmao

They're a pitiful 4th seed. Winning the Northwest by default got them thinking that their shit smells like roses or something.
It's only a "failure" if you have high expecations. I'll be called a "hater", but no one can honestly say the same about the Blazers as currently constructed, full strength or not.
You guys did beat us in a convincing manner last postseason at least, I'll give them that much respect.
If push comes to shove, we'll both be first round exits this season. :)
By db Go To PostThis better not be aimed at me. I already mentioned I'm not delusional.
It was aimed at you. You're not delusional, yet you feel entitled to shit on my team for achieving the same amount of success this season as yours probably will (winning a division title and nothing else).
We're in a state where we have to give Dorsey minutes, Dwight is still on a minutes restriction, and our starting point guard is a 37 year old who should be backing up at the 2. All I want is to get out of the first round.

This is not a picture of Bill Walton, another potential all time great that was hobbled by injuries. You should empathize with that considering the fate of the TMac/Yao teams, as well as the Rockets current iteration.
It's hard for me to imagine why Rockets fans don't understand the hate the team gets. You employ James Harden and Dwiget Howard, two guys that are easy to root against. You're team won't get respect unless they chip, and people will hate up until that very moment.

Last year's 4th seed was far more pitiful.
Masai's not gonna say it this year:
Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri was asked about Pierce’s comments on Thursday.

“I honestly don’t have enough money to respond to him, but I think if I did have enough money, everybody knows exactly how I would respond to him and how the whole of Toronto would respond to it,” Ujiri said.

“F— Washington, am I right?” one of the hosts of Sportsnet’s “Free Association” podcast asked Ujiri toward the end of an interview on Tuesday.

The GM laughed.

“I tell you, I can’t go that far because of my guy Barack Obama,” Ujiri joked. “He might come get me, man. He might come whisk me away, so I’m not with you on that one.”
By reilo Go To PostLast year's 4th seed was far more pitiful.
I know what you're getting at, and you know I was talking about seeding. The Spurs sit at 6th with 55 wins, while you get to play a hobbled Memphis with your 51, all thanks to your division.
