Dirk and Yao were both franchise cornerstones.  Dirk luckily avoided the injury bug.

Carroll Dawson retired.  How can I logically hold that against Morey for not having a long tenure? He's at the least managed to keep the job for 8 years while somehow managing "to do nothing".  

It's illogical to criticize Morey for his style of doing business, which will always have high turnover, yet want to tell me it's OK Cuban did the same exact thing.  We're essentially trying to argue why the traditional method of team building will always be superior to Morey's somewhat unorthodox syle.

Some games are called tightly, some games the refs just let the teams play.  That is truly how the postseason works.

His FTA dropped from 9.1 for the RS, 8.3 in the Portland series.  Only one game under 5 FTA.  

Whether you want to argue that .8 is a significant drop-off, be my guess.

All I see on a day to day basis is people trying to marginalize the Rockets organization.

We still do have to prove it in the postseason, I'm fine with that. But constantly calling McHale/McFail a bad coach or saying Morey hasn't done a tremendous job turning the team around since the Yao/TMac era is asinine.

No I'm not saying McHale is a top coach either.

My story has been consistent all season long, the Rockets season will come down to seeding.  There have been Rockets fans here and on GAF who would constantly state we were pretenders because we lost to teams like the Jazz.

We could still lose, but we got the most favorable first round matchup outside of a hobbled OKC team.  I like our chances.

You guys did beat us in a convincing manner last postseason at least, I'll give them that much respect.

This is not a picture of Bill Walton, another potential all time great that was hobbled by injuries. You should empathize with that considering the fate of the TMac/Yao teams, as well as the Rockets current iteration.

It's hard for me to imagine why Rockets fans don't understand the hate the team gets. You employ James Harden and Dwiget Howard, two guys that are easy to root against. You're team won't get respect unless they chip, and people will hate up until that very moment.
