By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostVince carrying yet another team to a second round ceiling.if memphis is healthy they can beat gs.
By unknown Go To Postif memphis is healthy they can beat gs.
So basically if Mike Conley gets a bionic face in the next week?
By Wahoos007 Go To PostGood to see Steve Blake is shooting for the Blazers like he was for the Warriors last season.i laughed way too hard at this
POORLY.
By Shun Go To PostUnless they get neither and then you can say bye to Anthony Davis as San Antonio will most definitely make that push if they don't get either Gasol or LMA. Waiting for AD is the smarter choice since Duncan looks like he has a year left in him, maybe 2.They will be waiting a while for AD. At least 5 -6 years. AD isn't going to turn down 30 to 50 million to go to SA. he's poised to get 140 million over 5 years when his current contract is up.
If we don't put a championship ring or close to it by then, all bets are off on us keeping him IMO.

By Jonm Go To PostThey will be waiting a while for AD. At least 5 -6 years. AD isn't going to turn down 30 to 50 million to go to SA.Depends how much he wants out of NOLA. He could just take his QO. Which means he'd be a FA in the new cap era too.

Which means he'd be a FA in the new cap era too.The Pelicans can literally offer him roughly 50 million more over the course of his next contract. He would be the first player in history to turn down a deal like this. And there is no indication he is unhappy in New Orleans. He loves our coach(even though I hate him) his teammates and the city.
5-6 years from now if we are not making noise in the playoffs??? Yeah he probably gone.

RT @WindhorstESPN: Cavs just announced Kevin Love had shoulder surgery told in NYC. He's out 4-to-6 months.
Fuck
Fuck

The 50M figure sounds wrong, that's usually second contract money. But aint sure.
And it's all speculation, of course. No need to be so defensive.
It must be tempting for someone like AD though. Think about all the players that organisation has elevated from scrub to starters / champions. And knowing that they treat their players right too, the care they've taken with the bodies of TP/TD/Manu and role players over the years has been amazing.
If the spurs came calling for any player, it would have to be tempting.
By fertygo Go To PostWe just wanted AD got better team.NO will get him help.
AD doesn't need to take the QO. He can take a two year contract with a player option on the second year.
By thekad Go To PostAD doesn't need to take the QO. He can take a two year contract with a player option on the second year. His QO isn't this year anyway, it's after next season, when the new cap is in place. So it won't really matter, I was wrong on that point.
By giririsss Go To PostHe wouldn't be the first. Monroe just did it.His contract runs til next year then has a qualifying offer. We can offer him roughly 30% of our cap if he makes the allstar team next year and he will qualify for the Rose rule and because of the new CBA the current team has a leg up on anyone. We will offer him 5 years 140+ million dollars with the 5th year a player option. He may take a smaller contract with a player option but that would make him ineligible for the Rose rule if I understand correctly and thus it is unlikely because ehe would be leaving A LOT of money on the table to do so.

He will more then likely be here til he is 28.

I must say we maybe exaggerating how bad Pelican is, they can be a lot better with Pondexter and Cole available since day one.
I think they need to look further before resigning Asik tho.

By fertygo Go To PostI must say we maybe exaggerating how bad Pelican is, they can be a lot better with Pondexter and Cole available since day one.I've said it before but our core guys: Davis, Evans, Holiday, Gordon and Anderson have been healthy and played a total of roughly 26 games over the last 2 seasons.

We have been the most injuried team by far over the last two seasons.
Frankly I am still left to speculate how good our team is because I have barely seen our core group play together.

Thats the thing. I mean he'll get a normal max from any other team, which will probably be ~100M mark. He aint going to be poor. It's going to be about whether he see's better options elsewhere. It's why Dwight left LAL.

The spurs are about the only team that I could really see tempting him. Cause it would be tempting. Too much history of class and quality there. Plus if TD was going to stick around / coach him too?
Pells salary situation isn't terrible though. They have room soon to start moving guys. Its just a question of whether you trust them to make the right moves.
By psychintellect Go To PostHoping the Bucks push for a game 7 tomorrow.Advanced fuck you.
Anytime Meyers Leonard is guarding Gasol, that has to be an automatic post up. Leonard has no shot at gaurding that.

It's wishful thinking. He has shown no real interest in SA. He seems extremely happy with his teammates and coach especially(He has gone on several long winded rants about how much he loves Monty, how they talk all the time and how much he hates the criticism he gets). He isn't turning down a ton of money to leave that. His family loves New Orleans is also another big plus.
4-5 years from now? If the Pels aren't competing for a championship, yeah I could see him going the CP3 route and offering the owners a list of teams he would be willing to be traded to. SA may be on that list if they remain relevant then. Which they probably will be if Pop and Buford are around.
