By Oddinho Go To PostPlaying United at Old Trafford isn’t too far from hosting a bottom table team fighting to stay in the PL. I think we must have neared 80% possession in the second half? Atkinson put in one of the worst officiating performances I’ve seen in a while, thankfully it didn’t cost us a loss.
Still, 2 points dropped against a team that show no sign of quality or adventure. We should be winning these.
Props to Daniel James though, dude worked tirelessly. Sad that his own team wouldn’t put the ball out of play for him when he went down injured though.
Odd please, first half robo and AA got outdone by utd full backs in terms of performance levels from young and AWB.
Rashford feint and switch run was sensational.
James ball was naughty, the broke on you a good few times and that was always the game plan.
Dont see how you say no quality or adventure. That was the best I've seen utd play in months maybe except chelsea.
It was aggravating that Atkinson kept ignoring fouls that United were committing. Definitely felt like we couldn’t buy a foul, especially first half.

What a form run in.

A sign of the times if that’s considered a good United performance by any means.
Not sure what to take from that performance, AP and AY still getting game time, no Pogba or Martial, Fred doesnt seem like he's ever in control.
Another two points dropped.

When Fredge tried to kick the ball up the pitch and just hit a United player in the back... Outstanding.

Competent performance from United based on their current form and injuries

Happy with the result given the context of the scoreline. Whilst we were pretty poor, doesn’t excuse the fact that their goal was a disgrace, and since the point the game was stacked in their favour.
Also happy for Adam Lallana, who was great since coming on. As was Keita. A few positives to take from the match and kept a six point lead post Old Trafford.
United going to struggle, don’t really see much positives in that team. How our cross made it through that defence was beyond me. Really poor from Lindelof and Rojo.

only race you are having, is to see if you can keep up with fat franks bois
So there we go, the first game this season United have had some luck and people can't stop talking about it. I'm sure everybody will be talking as much the next time United have more bad luck........
Taking all the injuries & ref mistakes out of the game a draw was a fair result based on the performances. It would be nice to see United be able to put out their first choice XI but i'm not holding my breath that's going to happen anytime soon.
First on the injury table
First in our hearts
Thirteen in the Premier League

Play Rash on the right, Hames on the left, Tony through the middle, sacrifice a goat and pray for Pogba''s return.
Looked like Origi made the most of the contact and had lost the ball just as the challenge went in, due to his shit touch. Seen them given but it happens. Liverpool will get a decision go their way this season (if they haven't had one already).
We looked good for 70mins. Stuck to the plan to hit them on the counter and the energy levels were there. Shut down their main threat from the fullbacks and kept Mane quiet for the most part. Everybody put in a shift but its incredibly difficult to maintain for 90mins. Could see players struggling to shuffle across and press at that point. Not sure if it was just the time in the game and players fitness that players dropped off, or if it was due to Klopp changing to a 4231, but we didn't get much going after that.
Ole could have potentially introduced another midfielder for Perreira once he started to tire. He was great at pressuring them in the 1st phase. Steps up against the bigger teams.
That's probably the best we've looked in a while/since Chelsea, but need to see how we go next week when we'll probably have more of the ball and have to create. Lose/Draw against Norwich and there'll be questions again.
Rashford looked really good as did James. Hopefully we can get Martial going again and go with that front 3.
Felt like Liverpool had missed an attacking threat in their midfield at times, so Ox was a good change.

By Arnie Go To PostUnited had two shots on target and 32% possession.Shows how bad we've been when that was better than vs Newcastle
Thought Pereira was as shite as anyone else on the pitch tbh, in a game full of shite performances on both sides. No idea what Neville was on about praising him in particular.

No idea what Neville was on about praising him in particular. He pressed well, made it more difficult to play out and was on Fabinho a lot initially from what I remember. Not much quality on the ball but that's what we have in the squad I guess.
Just glad he didn't have him starting on the RW.

I wanted him to be good
Liverpool managed a phenomenal four shots on target & spent most of the game passing it sideways against an injury crippled United. If only they had a world class midfield instead of the dross of Wijnaldum & Henderson then they might have done something.
United's attack could look a lot better if they dumped Pereira, he's just completely insipid. Makes Lingard look like Hazard.
Think Keita is going to play a big part heading into Christmas. He really does offer something no one else can in our midfield.
Important we win our next two.
Also, for as shit as we played, I never had the impression we were happy to settle for a draw, so that’s something at least.

Would like to see Keita replace Henderson, especially while Salah is injured. Can't be maximising the clank when we've only got 2 really good players ahead of the midfield.
