Whether it's 'asthma medication' or blood doping, there are such huge advantages to be had by getting as close to the legal limits of bodily chemicals as possible that it has become necessary to be able to compete.I've no doubt that Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are all doped up to the eyeballs. I remember an old interview with McEnroe when he said tennis players usually peak at around 27 or 28. Federer is ten years older than that and still winning Slams. Djokovic and Nadal should be well past their best too, but they're untouchable.
Perhaps it's not as common in football / tennis, where good technique can overcome raw stamina, but I'd still imagine a good number will share a helpful doctor.
Talent wise they're three of the best ever. That's not in doubt. But they shouldn't be able to run rings around players ten years their junior.
I used to think Federer was clean. His style is much more about technique and timing in comparison to the Nadal and Djokovic power game. But he's just too old now. He shouldn't be able to do what he's doing. Nadal has looked like a bodybuilder since he was 16 and Djokovic had a Farah like upswing in performance purely from cutting out gluten, supposedly. It's just too farfetched to be real imo.

This just started playing on my phone while on shuffle.
I have this MP3 file for about 12 years. It was sent to me by a girl I liked back then. We had a weird relationship, she constantly grabbed my hand when we were hanging out, we used to play pool and I would position myself behind while she was playing and would move her hips to set up her shot.
Things were so ridiculous that when we out with actual couples, they would say to me that we behaved more like a couple than them, a couple of times she grabbed my hand and would led me to another bar because she wanted to be alone with me.
I couldn't handle that uncertainty and one day I pulled her aside and said that I liked her and I need to know what was happening with us. She panicked, grabbed a pen and drew some waves on my face (I was 19 and she was 21 at the time).
Things cooled down, she was constantly getting mad at me for the littlest things and she drifted away from me, a friend we had in comum and even from university.
I left Lisbon a couple of years later to go back home, we kept in touch through email and then Facebook.
We actually passed by each other 4 years ago on a music festival in Porto but I didn't approach her because I didn't knew if it was her as we hadn't seen each other for 8 years at that time but the following day she messaged me on Facebook saying she thought she had seen me at festival but by then I was on my way to the airport to fly back home.
She went to São Miguel Island in the Azores two years ago, I was studying there back then but at the time I had gone back home on vacation so we missed each other.
This year she messaged me again, saying how she loved the Azores, wanted to go back to São Miguel and wanted to know if I was still there.
I told her I was back home in Terceira and she should definitely come here some day, I had a room for her that she could stay and I could even take a few days off to show her around.
She liked the idea but things stayed silent for a while.
A few months later, I had a dream about her out of nowhere.
I messaged her to tell her that and out of nowhere she started talking about how we should go on a trip next year to Greece or Croatia, just the two of us.
I was a bit surprised by that and said maybe, I once again brought up the idea of her coming to my island and right now she is just waiting for HR to approve some days off in the first week of December for her to confirm her trip here.
This is all a bit weird but weird is something I have came to expect from her.
Double post but the shuffle just started playing a forgotten hit from the 00's that I just needed to share with everyone.
Ahaha. That would be a neat idea. Funnily enough, one of the most fond memories I have of her is of a night where we were hanging out at a couples house and at about 4 am we decided to leave because they clearly wanted to go to bed.
Instead of taking a taxi home, she asked me if I wanted to keep her company until the subway opened at 6:30.
We spent the next two and half hours just walking around the empty streets of Lisbon (probably not the safest thing to do), talking about everything, holding hands and hugging.
At 6:30, I took the subway with her (the room I was renting was only two stops away and we had to take 2 lines and 14 stops until her exit), took her to the bus stop and stayed until she got on the bus.
Always thought that it was my Before Sunrise moment and many times over the years I thought if should have made a move that night.

Honestly martins, at one point you needed to make a move and engage physically, more than just hug or holding hands.
Obviously I don't know the ins and outs and you were fairly young, but yeah.
If you do end up seeing each other and the moment comes, give it a go, worst case she rejects you and you know there's nothing there. Unless you are CR7.

Being young could be the problem. Could be that she was scared of commitment.
Anyway, doesnt hurt to ask her for one relaxing date to see if the chemistry is there. Or just talk to her on the phone.
