I strongly hope they are more expensive. To put it bluntly when consoles low-ball they end up stunting technological and even game design growth for a better part of a decade.

Yup, was just thinking the same today cus my wife's PC (which I was throwing a 1080ti into) was built in 2011 and has a 2500K in it and I was like wow consoles in 2019 have way worse CPUs. That PC might still end up being just slightly less as good as a PS5.
It's safe to say a Ryzen 3 will be enough for the entirety of the PS5 lifetime too. Consoles finally catching up in the SSD department is the bigger gamechanger.
