i've been watching some of these neville clips on sky sports' youtube channel. this mean is insufferable.
how many times is he going to mention the class of 92 and compare today's united to that period? how many times is he going to say that it's the board's fault and not ole's even though he said at the beginning of the season that united would end in the top 4?

By Laboured Go To PostDo enjoy how during international breaks players start saying all sorts of shit they probably shouldn't.Clearly a student from the Pogba school of sports interviews.
Congrats Xpike!
Lol, they fire Giampaolo and hire Pioli. So that you guys understand, it's like firing Mourinho and hiring Ole.

It does seem United are a bit hung up on recapturing Fergie's tenure and "Playing the United way". Ole being the right man for the job because he played for him at the height of their glory. But take a step back and have a gander at all of Fergies players who had a go at management (there were a lot) and the most successful are probably people like Bruce and Hughes. If recreating Fergies management skills and success was that easy people like Paul Ince, Bryan Robson, the Neville's and Roy Keane would all be in top jobs.

Yeah, none of them have his man-management and force of personality.
Plus generally attempting to recreate Fergie's playing tactics in 2019 would never, ever be a good idea anyway.
By Scum Go To PostWhen are you getting your new stadium, ross? They are having some meeting today. It's not entirely sure that we will even get it, the first round of votes in the city council was 2 for and 48 against or something like that. A long way to go.

From a purely performance based perspective, I'd have no qualms about Solksjaer leaving/getting sacked. He's just not up the job. A counterattacking style was a good idea considering the pace we have up front. But we need more than pure speed for when teams are happy to sit back and defend. That's when we look genuinely terrible.
The only problem I'd have with Ole's departure is when it comes to transfers. Last summer was the first in years where you could see an actual plan in action. we signed three youngish, hungry players all with room to improve. And they've all performed well for us. A new manager will have different ideas and we'll be left yet again with a Frankenstein's monster of a squad with players not suited to our tactics as they were signed by a different manager for a different style of play.

I wonder if his former teammates are still asking the fans to give him time? Gary in particular campaigned hard for him lol

Tbf Neville has said the manager needs more time in respect of every single manager we've sacked, so he's been consistent on that. I usually don't agree with him though.

Actually, only once and was even roasted by Carragher for it. Not expecting him to criticise Ole for anything, even when he deserves it.

Football journalists are insufferable during international break, they have nothing to report on, so they just make it up along the way.
Imagine having a job, where you just make shit up, and then get paid for it? lol

I see you are new to how Belgian players behave on international breaks. Get used to it.
Toby would be welcome in Amsterdam. That way Veltman can go next summer, he still wants that foreign adventure. And we get to develop Schuurs while Toby is playing and tutoring him. For the future.

Think both of them are the only ones I consider as definite TOTY material for midfield.
By rvy Go To Postover xabi alonso? busquets?I think both Bousquets and Alonso were phenomenal players, but IMO Modric had them beat. Different type of players and positions/roles though, hard to compare.

Some would argue Puyol and Silva should also be there but hey.
puyol definitely for team of the season the decade before this one
is modric even that much better than kroos to be on that list?
