By JesalR Go To PostAlso, are you sure you don't mean Rose? Cause Rose had red hair for a game a few seasons backNah Aurier had that awful red/orange patch on his head.
By Linius Go To PostFrom a marketing point of view this is actually the better choice for Ajax. We’ve been really investing in the (central/south) American market lately. Opened up an office in NY and displayed some huge ads on buildings in Manhattan. As well as full page ads in newspapers in the US, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
With Alex Mendez we have another American at the club by the way.
Chelsea's social media team went into overdrive over the weekend because of Pulisics hattrick. Shamelessly chasing that yankee dollar

Ball to hand
By Linius Go To PostYeah I'm not too happy with this news. Besides Dumfries we don't really have much quality for his position. And if he keeps developing the way he's doing now he sure has the potential to become a mainstay in our national team. He kind of came out of nowhere to be fair this season. So hard to predict how things will go from here, but so far he's looking quite good. But fair game, as opposed to some of the Morrocan players who chose Morroco over us in the past he actually went trough all the youth teams in the USA. As a country we never invested in Dest as a footballer and now he's surfacing at Ajax all of a sudden we'd like to add him to our squad. Good for Dest he can make his own decision in the matter. At least I get to enjoy him in the jersey I care most about.
what kind of forward is he?
Jaap Stam left the building. Feyenoord on the look out for a new manager.
And Dest is a right fullback. This year he seems to be first choice as long as Mazraoui doesn’t return to form. Played some CL games already and seems to be adapting to the higher level of football rather easily. Got a lot of pace in him and is decent enough in the back.

Torreira is a soft boi. But imagine your own players reacting like that to your fans. 💀
It's just so fucking Arsenal.

How'd it go
I said: Hello Arsene, I'm a massive Arsenal fan, nice to meet you (shook his hand) . Can I take a picture with you?
He said: Of course. Then the French talked in French with him for a bit, we took the picture and went our ways.
Boarding the plane I went just beside him, he was on business class, browsing Instagram lol
By Meier Go To PostI honestly don't care who was involved in the play – that is just never a foul. You can't just jump in front of a players swinging leg and get a foul out of it. To me, if there is a foul it's going the other direction: Mane impeded Aurier's action. They should have just played on though. This is an incredible take mate.
Think it’s a bit unfair of the Arse fans to boo Xhaka. He’s putting an effort in at least. He’s shit, but it’s not his fault he keeps playing. You want to boo the ones who don’t give a fuck.
Captains don't take off their shirt and collpase under the pressure of fans booing, they rise to the occasion and take it like a real captain should.
Xhaka is not a captain, far from it, he's a manchild at most.
Arsenal need more no-nonesense characters in their squad with strong mentalities. I take a look at that team and all I see are softies.
Should of went for a Godin type of CB and a monster of a DM (think Casemiro but with a dash of Costa mixed in).

At this point I doubt having Torreira will change anything. Maybe appease the fans, but that's about it.
That's the life of a captain who is also a shite footballer. Gonna be awkward when you get hooked every game because you don't contribute to attacking play. Not the first time they boo him either, I think he's become the scapegoat because he represents all the failings of the Emery era.
Remember when Ozil was captain, then not even in the team the next week, then on the bench, then captain again? etc. Yesterday the fans were singing for Ozil to come back just to stick it to Unyai and his scattershot style management.
What a fanbase.

Listening to the Totally Football Show earlier, my view mirrors the one expressed on there: no one really came off well at Arsenal yesterday.
Xhaka needed to ride it out and handle things better as the captain - but having sixty thousand people hurling abuse at you for trying to do your job is horrific for any player to go through.
Emery isn't helping either. He's making it easy for Xhaka to be scapegoated by consistently picking him despite his form being very poor for a long time.
Truthfully, the reaction to Xhaka is just general frustration with the perceived deficiencies of the current regime.

Barca definitely should've gone for Vela instead of Kevin Prince. It could be back to the glory days of Griez + Vela but now with more Messi.
If he wasn't so prone to mood swings I'd take him at United.

It's hard to not empathise with Xhaka considering it's not only him that's getting the criticism, death threats, and it trickles down and affects his family. People are shit, and toxic.
It was very unprofessional of him to walk off the pitch while the team is chasing a win, and telling the fans to fuck off.
I would also have done the same thing if I was in his shoes.

fabregas brings his foot back to swing and kick, and it gets stuck between puyols legs and he gets a penalty
wrong or right decision
it's the most similar thing I can remember though not really the same
By FootbalIFan Go To PostDo you guys actually know anything about tractors?Of course, what do you need to know?
Getting your foot in between the defender and the ball is always going to draw a foul. It's straight up winning the position, doesn't matter if you are playing the ball.

By FootbalIFan Go To Post@Meier I hope you see thisI think that's a fair penalty decision because Puyol clatters into him as well. If Mane had been the one shooting and Aurier came through his swing, then sure, he's prevented him from shooting in a very dangerous spot and it's an obvious penalty. That is actually why I think if there was a foul in this play the it's on Mane. Aurier is in the middle of his action to clear the ball and Mane impedes him by using his body to interfere with the action. I can see zero scenario where you can fault the defender (Aurier) in this case. He's done nothing wrong.
