Can't see him being captain again.

By Cleff Go To PostAnd now it's ruined.Just prepares us for next season without him to be fair. Fred has done well since coming in this and hope this season, with continued game time, he can finally settle. Was good vs Liverpool and today alongside McTom.
McTominay has really grown into his role for the team and it's great to have someone like him to get stuck in and then release the forwards.
Like the look of Garner too. Lad came on today and wanted the ball. Looks to play forward. Good signs.
AP44 is much better in midfield rather than playing wide. Much rather have him in the #10 role, but can be improved on ofcourse (Madders).
Left-back still an issue without Shaw, but not sure if he can be relied upon with his injury record. Hopefully Williams gets to play against Chelsea midweek.
By inky Go To PostStraight swap for Preparation Hinky does not speak for Manchester Club
By Vini.lad Go To PostWe should boo moreWe need Vini on AFTV.
This culture of not allowing your fans to boo players is bullshit. You're cursing them all game, why booing somehow is a major problem?
Here in South America you get booed every single game if you're not performing well.
Bunch of fucking soft lads. You do what you love, gets the highest wages in the world and can't take booing? Go be an accountant/banker/doctor then.
"I'm sick of it Robbihno!"
i honestly never expected arsenal to have such an insane meltdown 3 months into the season
dressing room is gone, your captain gets subbed off to jeers from your own crowd, we've lost 2 2-0 leads against mid and low table teams, and we can't seem to break even the weakest defense while ours breaks with any simple 1-2

By Xpike Go To Posti honestly never expected arsenal to have such an insane meltdown 3 months into the seasonIt's a shame because I really thought Emery would make the team competitive again based on what he did with Sevilla, but it's been 15 months and there hasn't been any evidence of it happening.

By NinjaFridge Go To PostAurier is an idiotApparently just a clearance according to Meier.
Lost confidence in the charlatan after the last couple of months of last season. That was the worse bottle I've ever seen as an Arsenal supporter. And then this complete meltdown less than 3 months in. We were on a streak at this time last season, we've just gone backwards.
Eriksen, Aurier, Wanyama and Rose #Out

It didn't mean much to Chelsea who were already in the CL and meant a place in the CL this season. I genuinely thought you'd win that final.

By Meier Go To PostHe is going to clear the ball. Mane stepping in front of his kicking leg is not a foul. That’s outrageous.Just watched another replay of the incident. I agree with the rest of the guys here. It's a pretty cut and dry penalty.
Aurier did well to track back and dispossess Mané but when the ball rolled away it was a 50/50 between them which he lost. Mané nipped ahead of Aurier and was hacked down.

ive read some comments online and i think i agree that emery seems to think arsenal is a mid tier club like sevilla, and so he can afford to make some mistakes now and then
while sadly we do behave like one more often than not nowadays we need someone who believes arsenal can mount a title challenge in a few years, not someone who is happy to reach europa league semi finals every year

I remember an incident years back, Shane Long getting ahead of Skrtel, and the same thing happening. I’m quite sure I had a different opinion at the time

Emery is safe for now according to internal management (Raul and Edu) but after the work Raul did in the transfer window the onus is on Emery to deliver. He will most likely get til the end of the season.
Raul and Edu meet players and staff after every game at the Emirates usually. They are also going to also aggressively question the FA on the VAR results of previous game and ask for changes.
"It is also fair to say that Emery does not retain the backing of his entire squad — the main concern of some members being an apparent absence of team identity and clarity on what is being asked of them — but equally the majority of players and staff are believed to be behind him."
The shortlist last summer was: Allegri, Arterta, Henry, Lopetgui, Rangnick, Sampaoli, and Vieira
They discussed with Conte, Sarri, Howe and Rodgers but were not pursued for differing reasons. Luis Enrique was never a candidate. Arteta was the closest to contending with Unai but lack of managerial experience meant Emery won them over.

Ornstein saying Arsenal considered extending Emery's contract last summer (why?) and that the initial shortlist to replace Wenger was Massimiliano Allegri, Mikel Arteta, Thierry Henry, Julen Lopetegui, Ralf Rangnick, Jorge Sampaoli and Patrick Vieira (and Emery).
That is a really bad shortlist of managers for a club like Arsenal. I do think Emery is up there with the best of the bunch, although the job just hasn’t gone very well. It’s definitely a problem that 18 months in Emery’s English is so bad. It’s not even just the grasp of the language but the pronunciation.
