By Arnie Go To PostAlso, Arsenal fans proving to be a bunch of absolute worms booing their own player like that. Enjoy a decade of utter mediocrity with Nicolas Pepe.Scores two free kicks and created two chances for goals this game, but yeah he's mediocre.
By FootFungus Go To PostHe wants to keep fresh for his transfer.
Man, what an absolute shit show. We're not getting top 4 with Emery in charge, has no plan for when we're in the lead and our team is incapable of slowing down the game and keeping the ball.
By Arnie Go To PostMassive massive win. We were vastly the better team, so dropping points to such a freak goal would’ve been harsh. Spurs just look… odd. Thought Eriksen was shit today. Kepped letting people just run on past him.
Yeah, we were killin them from about 10’ to 80’ then they decided to push out of their half after going down 2-1 and we had to defend. I thought we’d get a draw at best after that freak goal. Mentality giants” not getting wound up by the antics though.
By Xpike Go To Postwe scored 2 then decided to give Palace possession because emery is a cowardPity it's only available tommorow to stream. Sounds like a fun game to watch after half time.
pepe has been our only creative player for a while now
I know Ozil is super lazy but that doesn't fly if Emery starts Xhaka every week regardless of performance

Who we got next?
Chelski midweek in the cup
By FootFungus Go To PostScores two free kicks and created two chances for goals this game, but yeah he's mediocre.Totally understand wishing other players played instead, but you just don’t Lynch your own player en masse like that. It’s a terrible look and footballers around the world will no doubt see it.
Yes, he’s mediocre. But if Arsenal booed every mediocre player then The Emirates would sound like the 2010 World Cup.
Not bothered about the midweek cup game against Liverpool tbh, but I can’t see Emery being sacked before then lol
xhaka got booed because he's representative of Emery, I think unless he goes now it'll just become more and more toxic
By inky Go To PostBournemouth awayReckon w can give chowsey a game, problem is lack of pogba while they have kante.

I guess the sooner we learn to play without him the better.

It’s a terrible look and footballers around the world will no doubt see it.It isn't just that he's mediocre he's an absolute idiot, constantly giving away stupid fouls, struggles to play out the back he's such a nothing player. The booing is less about the player anyway and more about Emery making him captain and then picking him to start every week.
Yes, he’s mediocre. But if Arsenal booed every mediocre player then The Emirates would sound like the 2010 World Cup.
arnie's obsession with pepe and other clubs' fans is amusing.
also: it's the 60th minute and it's 2-2 after being ahead 2-0. everyone's pissed off. rightfully so.
so when xhaka gets subbed, he should fuck off the pitch asap.
with that said: i do respect xhaka for not giving a fuck about anything or anyone. bless him and kola.

Yes, he’s mediocre. But if Arsenal booed every mediocre player then The Emirates would sound like the 2010 World Cup.
Xhaka is shit, yet he's somehow the captain and constantly costs us points. I personally can't define his role, he can't defend well, he's slow, he passes well sometimes but can't drive the ball or make actual key passes, and blames others for his mistakes. He shouldn't even be starting, let alone be captain. Like the other lads said, it was also a rejection of Emeryball, we're done with complete lack of identity.
The same fans cheered for Tierney, they appreciate a player who is out there giving his all.
Of course the booing is about the player. Imagine having symbolic boo-ing from fans of an English football club.
Honestly honestly do not understand how Eriksen is still starting. At least Toby and Jan look somewhat like they give a shit. Eriksen was so shit I wish he was anonymous cause he'd have had less of a negative impact on us

By Pennywise Go To PostClassic Hitch. We weren't tho
We were really good for the 70 minutes before that. Not quite at City's level of unbearable pressure when they have the bit between their teeth, but relentless nonetheless. Were always creating enough chances where if we dropped points it'd be because of poor finishing rather than running out of ideas. Thought Fabinho was particularly good at picking the right time to play the ball out wide.
Would be a bit bemused by the way Kane was used if I was a Spurs fan. Gave Lovren a tough time whenever they had a battle, but it was always on the touchline or for a flick-on 35 yards from goal. Never had the chance to make an impact in the box after he scored, and had to basically defer all of that responsibility to Son. Don't really care how good his passing is, get him as close to goal as possible, as often as you can.
United has been very shit but when you see things like this, you kinda understand the rage at Emery. Auba's stats could be better. Waaay better given the creative players Arsenal has.

How can Poch defend starting him and watching him play like shit for 85 minutes and only give Lo Celso 5 minutes?
I get that he is loyal to his favourites and Eriksen has the quality to create a chance in an instant, but when he’s playing like shit and tried to leave the club already why does he deserve that loyalty? We are not Eriksen FC. We had £150m worth of alternatives sitting in the bench.
By JesalR Go To PostPoch is largely at fault here, back in the day he would have binned all of these ladsHe needs to. Did a great job of it midweek and then went back to his old ways. Terrible decision. Eriksen needs dropping. I'll even add Rose and Aurier to the list too. #WoodenWasRight
By Ushojax Go To PostHow can Poch defend starting him and watching him play like shit for 85 minutes and only give Lo Celso 5 minutes?I get if he doesn't think GLC is ready to start, but if Eriksen is out wide, why not Lucas. Or if he's central why not Tanguy, who was so much more creative in house 30 minutes

By bud Go To Postarnie's obsession with pepe and other clubs' fans is amusing. My problem with Pepe stems from when his people or Lille used Liverpool everyday to try and engineer a move. We weren’t ever interested but everyday they would fabricate another story.

Then when he got his move to Arsenal there was a sneering that he was some coup under Liverpool’s noses. I knew at the time it was a fishy transfer - largely because Arsenal couldn’t afford to pay close to the total amount - and it turns out he’s not been quite the phenomenon he looked in France.
Lille did what all good clubs should and maximised the transfer value at the player’s perceived peak.

There's not one result this season where we can point to and think "oh okay, I get what you're doing".
By Scum Go To PostArnie, pls. Stop your obsession with Pepe. Come and get Eriksen instead. He was awful today. Just needs binning and Pochettino needs to start Lo Celso. And probably buy one more in January. The Coutinho transfer would’ve been perfect.

That was our best attacking performance since Chelsea at home. Highlights how much we missed Martial while he was out through injury. His hold up play with back to goal is good and he can link well with his fellow forwards. He has the pace and movement to really frustrate defenders. Having Martial up front allows Rashford to play out wide and cut in during attacks. It's where he plays best right now I think.
Once again Maguire, AWB and James were good. We're a struggling side, but the two new defenders have brought much more assurance to our backline. I can only imagine how bad we'd be without them. James just keeps surprising me. I had him pegged for a touchline hugging pace merchant. But he has no problem cutting inside and contributing to attack. And now he's shown he can ping forty yard passes with his bad foot.

One last thought on Pepe, he's improved so far and that's encouraging, keep in mind he's playing Emreyball, a play style that makes even Auba look like shite at times. I can see him doing very well under a better system.
By Flutter Go To PostIf I would give a guess, Emery probably overloaded the players with information, and what happened with PSG is happening with Arsenal. When I hear writers talk about Emery, they say he likes his teams to press but I don't even see that in our game... Sure we press but we rarely win the ball, and when we do go in we lose it immediately. He might overload them with info, but at the end of the day it's been moments of individual talent that has saved our hide.
It's disgusting to see Man Utd's summer signings doing so well. Bring me AWB and Maddison in January.
we dont seem to know how we should actually press or defend, so many times today that palace kept the ball even with 3 players marking
