By Bold 2 in One Go To PostI heard De Licked didnt do so hot, after that summer long peacocking.
fuck that cunt.
He is a fantastic footballer from what I have seen, but as a pure defender, nooooooooooooo.
Playing in Holland and playing against good players is completely different.
I don't think it will be too long before Juve move him to DM.
By bacon Go To PostArsenal is and forever will be Arsenal though.

That would be a little bit funny if it was coming from a fan of a team who wasn't coming off one of the biggest drop offs from being a top team, since Liverpool in the 90s.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostM8, Rugani is better than De Ligt as a defender. Never seen Rugani play half as bad as De Ligt did yesterday.I get it, you don't rate De Ligt, from now until the end of the season it will be implied in all of your posts, ceteris paribus.
He's literally a boy and he's here to raise his game and learn. His ceiling is high and that's what we're counting on
Rugani's been average for a long time with no signs of improving, surrounded by a couple of the world's best defenders no less.

This unprompted response is incredibly funny.

Why is Rugani average?

That's a very aggressive line-up from Arsenal, surprised to see Guendouzi ahead of Dani Ceballos though. Front three look pretty scary as is - the idea of Özil and Ceballos coming off the bench on 60 minutes to torment some tired legs in defence is surely the stuff of nightmares.

So the same level of funny as your unprompted response.

De Ligt was impeccable for 60' playing on the left, something he isn't used to, and made a mistake or two later while having cramps. I would advise you to hold back on criticizing him, otherwise you're going to have to eat a fair bit of banter in the coming months.

As I said earlier, De Ligt is a better footballer. However, Rugani has been extremely good despite his limited playing time because of legendary defenders in front of him. Rugani hasn't had any consistency in terms of playing time despite making relatively no mistakes.
And If De Ligt proves me wrong, then great, just as I said yesterday.

If you're not top of the league, you're not allowed to comment.
Fortunately...
Seemed like there was a communication problem last night, as he kinda alluded to that before the game which is something they're working on. Language barrier and all
Chiellini's injury came out of nowhere hours before the game so we had to throw him in immediately. Bonucci giving really dumb fouls close to goal was infuriating, I expect better from him.
Rugani played a lot for us, close to a 100 games over four years (more if you include his seasons with Sarri) that's a huge sample size, yet Sarri still preferred De Ligt.

Well Son is playing, so I'm changing from Arsenal will win to Korean Messi turning Luiz inside out and making him his bitch.
Lucas should've started ahead of Lamela. I guess Poch is counting on winning the second half instead.

Sarri wanted Rugani at Napoli and Chelsea. then Juve signed one of the most expensive teenagers and defenders in the world. I'm not gonna read too much into a company many like Sarri playing the prized asset over Rugani.
I hope to God that De Ligt proves himself to be worthy and that the Juve strategy pays off.

He's a known quantity tho, a good defender, maybe even very good under the right circumstances, but definitely not top class material. If I had to choose between keeping him or giving another young defender with good prospects a chance at our backup CB slot, I'd go with Demiral over him too.

out of the three them, I've been impressed with Demiral the most.
motherfucker can pass and rush into the opponent's box too
but that was preseason, we don't know what's going on in training ground skirmishes.

bit of a difference between the shit ADL signs and the amount De Ligt was signed for. A player who is clearly part of Juve's marketing strategy.

I think it is easy to forget how good Rugani was at Empoli and even at this age he is still miles better than what Barzagli was at the same age, and we all know how he turned out with age. Demiral will again hopefully be a very good player, but he played half a dozen games for Sassuolo last year and yet everyone is an expert on him.

I didn't think De Ligt was that good defensively against Juve. it is easy to confuse being a good footballer with a good defender. As a PSV supporter you have most likely never seen either. And I know I haven't because I would never watch that dross.
