Clubs should start announcing transfers Nintendo direct style. Current state of muppetry has gotten stale.
By Kidjr Go To PostWait Lovren and Matip better than Victor, fucking hell.Just Arnie things
Matip was VVD's main partner for the CL winners and best defence in the PL. Lindelof was winner of the least shit award for a bunch of utter chumps. I have no particular thoughts on Lovren but its pretty absurd that anyone now thinks Matip is not one of the better CBs in the league and certainly better than anyone Utd have
By Fergie Go To PostLol
I'd probably throw Viktor, Maptip, Lovren, Bailly and the rest in the same pile of mediocre.
Gomez hasn't really played enough to be that clear of the rest either

I think both players had good seasons, but as long as we leave out Lolvren in the conversation we're fine in my books
Matip was great last season, and ranged from average to good before that. Lindelof was a disgrace to the profession in his first season, and a seven surrounded by fives last season. Not seeing much evidence at all that he's better than Matip, and assume it's almost entirely because he was highly rated when he was signed.

By Elliott Go To PostWhat happened to Bailly? Did injuries derail his progress?I dont think anyone really knows.
By Elliott Go To PostWhat happened to Bailly? Did injuries derail his progress?Become more and more rash, and more and more injury prone. A worse player now than he was when he joined, the rough edges that needed smoothing have only become more jagged.
the only difference between city and liverpool's finances is that liverpool are better at scamming barcelona
Regarding Bailly, he was rash from day one. I don’t think people wanted to see it, but when you see a defender with #recovery pace tackle with their hands so often it’s a bad sign. Defending is all about positioning and anticipation.
Sensational return by the boy pisscum

his market value only gonna go down

Perhaps a loan would do him some good.I can see why, I said at the time that I wished we'd signed him after his first season. There was plenty there for a manager to work with and mould into a great centreback, and he was fun to watch because of the intense way that he played.
Hopefully we'll be able to sell a few of our underperformers over the next few week.
Not Darmian though.

Disagree with him more rash, there's really not enough shown that says so.
Can agree with being more injury prone though, especially after hurting himself from trying to mark Son.

By batong Go To PostArnie, we get it, now can we move forward and talk about Bold's generalisations instead.
It disgusts me.
One sporting director in Scandinavia believes WhatsApp screenshots are used to stage hikes in salaries and transfer fees. He explains: "'Bids are now made on WhatsApp between clubs. Only the final offer, once everything is thrashed out, will be made on paper via email. An agent will send me a screenshot from his player to say I must have £10,000 thrown onto this as a signing fee.' Then it makes it look like the player is driving the negotiations, rather than the agent. But we know it is collusion; led by the agent to get more money out of us. And then there are the benefits they throw in…"
Jeez

The article on The Atlantic on what happens during a transfer window is so much fun. Currently trying to figure out who are the ones they are insinuating to.
I wonder who this could be;

The background work can be exhaustive. One Spanish club made a preliminary enquiry with an English club this summer to sign a Scandinavian player. A week later, the Spaniards had gone quiet, so the English club's sporting director chased up. "The Spanish guy said he had spoken to three different people from the player's country and that the player would be a nightmare in the dressing room. So we cannot touch him."
