Here's what's gonna happen United lads:
Bakla will say no. Lukaku might still leave, but chances are he stays after that setback as we didn't really sort out a replacement.
Darmian stays.
All these players we had a free run at all transfer window will enjoy varying degrees of success at their new clubs.
We'll panic up our bid on Maguire and just get it done on deadline day.
No other reinforcements
6th by late November, board promises January signings
Cheeky renewals scheduled for this time, DDG massive, unearned new contract, Lindelof new contract, Lingard extension
1 January signing in a position we don't need
Temporary spike up the table by April
Finish 6th at best , Ole gone
Spend all summer trying to get Poch (unsuccessfully)

Dont think we'll get all 3 signings through,
Heck, don't think we'll get 2 done
My mind reels at how we've managed to screw this up - we've had a free run at all our targets with little to n competition
Still gonna wait to see how it pans out, but its not looking good.

Don't think we'll go for Fernandes. We have too man mid options for a midfield 2 that I can't see the club spending on him. They'll be looking at Fred to step up this season.
Maguire/CB a must and probably Dybala

I still think we'll get Maguire at minimum. I don't see a scenario where we get no-one. If everything else falls through, Wooders knows his one fallback is he can just offer the full £90m and get Maguire in to save face.
Well, it's more than obvious now that we really aren't in for anyone but slabhead and the opportunity with the Lukaku deal. And the latter came entirely from Juve smartly putting the burden of a transfer they want on us.
Slabhead will get done. Woodward will try to save face when the Lukaku deal falls through, without realizing how equally embarrassing it is to pay 90m for a player we didn't want at 65m last season.

By J Ciaran Go To Postwait why is it 90 million now…
Because they set the price as that and because we have pretty much no alternative targets they have levarage.
It was always 90 million. We've been bidding 70-80 unsuccessfully all transfer season; Palace knowing full well we would arrive at the price due to a combination of desperation, incompetence, and unwillingness to identify another target and move the fuck on.
Tbf I give zero fucks about the price we pay for players. It isn’t my money, and I contribute absolutely nothing to United all year. Buy Maguire for 500m for all I care; we’ll have a better player than what we have, and the Glazers will have less money. Win-win.

surely if you know you'll be willing to pay the asking price of £90m and have no clear alternatives and lack the ability to find alternatives, you get the deal done early so he can spend pre-season with the club.
By Fergie Go To PostSo Bruno gets some money? That clause that would give Bruno 5M€ in case we rejected any offer above 35M€ seems to have ended on the 31st of July. Since no official offers were made until that time, he won't get any extra money. We are apparently willing to improve his wages if he stays.

Not really how it works, unfortunately.

Shit i forgot they don’t fucking spend anything
cunts
The story in the Telegraph says Maguire asked to be left out of the Leicester squad. It doesn't say that a deal is close to being agreed. But it's a slightly positive development, I think.
By JesalR Go To PostRvy, my buddy, please understand.I'm biased, I wouldn't know.
How is the boy Bruno as a CM, or deeper than a 10 at least?

lmao.
City send a letter to Bayern not long ago, that they don't want any kind of public comment from Bayern regarding Sane. Hence why Kovac got some anger from the managment, because he said that he's optimistic about Sane.

By Fergie Go To PostSpurs still trying for Lo Celso? Bruno a smokescreen?Think they are just trying their luck to see if they can get him for less than Lo Celso.
I like Maguire and he's an obvious upgrade on our CB's. But it highlights the absolute shambles we are. There's no plan or structure. Mou wanted Maguire last season and he would've been a lot cheaper than what's currently being reported. Got to be some underlying reason we haven't gone for Alderweireld at £25m as well. Leaving signings to the last week, for positions that we so blatantly needed to upgrade is peak Glazer United. Business first, football secondary.

👋 yooo
With Alderwereld, maybe he's asking for too much. It's surprising that no team has taken him in as well. PSG and Barca are looking for CBs, from what we know.
Meh, just retire and be a commentator or an analyst.
He's definitely putting himself out in the market after not getting the jobs he wants.
