By Perfect Blue Go To PostReckon if he continues playing well he is definitely a bench option, if not starting. Not like you guys are bursting at the seams in terms of midfield talent. If you're just looking at AMs, then Alli, Maddison, Barkley, Ox, Loftus-Cheek, possibly even Sancho might be competing with him. England have almost no defensive midfielders or number 8s, but there are a ton of players that can sit behind the striker and score goals.

Rice?

Others seem a lot more questionable due to injuries or just lack of playing time in Barkley’s case. Isn’t Sancho a winger?
By Kidjr Go To PostRice?Almost no DMs, Rice is the only one coming through at the moment.

By sohois Go To PostI thought he played further forwardsHe’s the furthest back of a three man midfield:
Think Choudhury’s looked very decent so far. Better than ndidi at recycling possession and all
Would have pretty much every member of Lester’s midfield over all of our options save Pogba

Another twist for Bury as their takeover has collapsed 90 minutes before the deadline. What a horrible day for their fans. Bury FC put out a call to their fans to go and tidy up Gigg Lane today in anticipation of their first playable match of the season and then a few hours later it's all gone very wrong. Hundreds turned up.
Disgraceful.
Disgraceful.
Man, what can you do as a fan in that situation? Absolutely helpless.
Think the PL should step in, really. Loan Bury and Bolton the money subject to new owners coming in. Losing clubs of that stature is far more harmful than using them as a symbol of ownership gone wrong.

maybe we should all go the Bundesliga route (50+1)

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostHeard United were assisting Bury in some fashion, is that true? Not financially. Probably via loaning youth players.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostHeard United were assisting Bury in some fashion, is that true?City have been letting them use City's old training ground for free for the last 5 years and it has fallen into total disrepair apparently. Bury seem to have some serious issues with the way they operate beyond just being skint.
By n8 dogg Go To PostWhy do you think no one chose to match Fernandes’ fee, Martins? The latest big transfers out of the club all flopped (Adrien, Slimani, João Mario, Gelson), we didn't have a great European campaign and nobody gives much of a shit about anyone else in the league except who wins it.
I really like his personality, he could have been less motivated after he missed out on a transfer to the Premier League or even try to score more goals and be more selfish but it hasn't happened at all. Last game he could have tried to score himself but gave the ball to Luiz Phyllpe to tap it into an empty net, let Mathieu take the free kick, he was a complete team player.
There's still some talk about Madrid being interested but I doubt it, specially this late in the window.
By Flutter Go To PostOut of curiosity, how many people have FM 2019 here? Might be planning a little something.

By Flutter Go To PostCurious about the Stadia stuff. Never played FM on anything other than a chronic slow PC.
By Flutter Go To Postplenty I think. Wooden, Inky, me, Freewheelin…Been thinking of doing a SLAENT FM2019 Draft Cup with a key of FM 2020 as the prize.

This may sound harsh, but Bury and Bolton should be allowed to die - time to turn off the life support.
I'm a fan of a League Two club that almost went bust 15 years ago. When were were on the very edge, fans banded together and bought the club. SInce then, we've lived entirely within our means - because we've had to. There have been some fat years, but my there have been some extremely lean ones too.
However, we (and other clubs that live within their means) and being choked by clubs like Bolton and Bury. They promise to pay more in wages for players in our division, and the average wage goes up - that impacts us all. We do our utmost to get promoted while living within our means, but instead promotion spots get taken, year after year, by clubs that can afford to gamble. The same happens at the other end: Yeovil, a thrifty club, went down; Macclesfield, where players haven't been paid on time in months, stay up.
Fuck them. Let them burn and hope something better rises from the ashes - because any pay-off for Anderson or Dale now will only serve to justify the entire strategy of scum like them. They're not just killing Bolton and Bury, they're killing the rest of us, too.
Also, Ritsu Doan is legit, saw him last year while I was living in Groningen.

Who is Ritsu Doan

I guess, but I don't think he's the player we need atm
By Meier Go To PostLooks like he's played pretty well for Groningen.. probably worth a shot.He was ok, not someone like a tadic/suarez, of whom you knew were just to good for the club after a few matches. Than again never thought van Dijk would be a world beater either, so lets not write him of yet. Had a tendency to be ok for a few matches and than could disappear for weeks, but that's probably also part of playing for a midtable club. So maybe he will do better with better players around him.
and lets face it, psv can use a creative (C)AM so it is not that the bar is set to high for him. Only think he is better higher on the pitch and PSV has enough players for those positoons, maybe someone is leaving.? (or more longterm investment)
Ahah, Crystal Palace and Norwich were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by League Two teams Colchester and Crawley.
