Yes, Arsenal fans are abysmal but it’s hard to explain that to a Brazilian without sounding arrogant so we move on.
Good VAR decision.
Good VAR decision.
By n8 dogg Go To PostIn real life, it’s definitely Arsenal fans I know that are the least tolerable.I probably have to agree.
Chelsea have the largest proportion of gammon types, which isn’t great either.
By Killer7 Go To PostWhat is varI get the feeling that the officials in the VAR booth are afraid to overrule the ref on the field.
Don't think we've seen a penalty call overturned yet in the PL.
I can see why a Spurs fan would see that as a penalty, but I just thought it was a bit soft. Lacelles falls and Kane is desperate to take the contact and move into his trademark swan dive. Slow it all down and it’s very dramatic.
Good call imo (but debatable)

By Fergie Go To PostJoelinton is terrible but he's having a good game vs Sanchez. He’s crap isn’t it. As is Wesley for Villa. It’s like they’re very shit twins.
The new Ayews
By BigBoss Go To PostI get the feeling that the officials in the VAR booth are afraid to overrule the ref on the field.Feels like that and the refs on the field feel very reluctant to go and watch the replays themselves.
I actually dont have friends who watch football. Probably why I got in footballGAF in the first place.

By Flutter Go To PostI actually dont have friends who watch football. Probably why I got in footballGAF in the first place. My three best mates are Everton fans. As are half my family. So, yea, I do NOT like Kurt Zouma.
By Arnie Go To PostIt’s the season after that isn’t it?Thought his contract ended in 2021?
His contract will run out and I don’t think he’s signing another, but he won’t leave before it’s done.
have a feeling var doesn't work because the ref can refuse to use it and of course he doesn't want to look like a fool
wasn't that long ago that Arsenal fans around here were defined by the three stooges. You've still got Shanks doing his (obviously exaggerated) shtick when it comes to how Arsenal are going to perform. Everyone gets bullish after a few wins or a good performance but Arsenal fans always seem the slowest to come back down when reality hits
I understand the need to protect refs from football fans, but there is absolutely no accountability.

I joined GAF because all my mates were cock deep in tribalism. Can’t have an earnest, unbiased conversation about football. That sounds super wanky but i don’t give a fuck
spurs lol
gotta wait for the SNES for that lol [/dean]

Spurs were extremely bad. Didn't really make the Newcastle defence sweat, trying to play inch-perfect balls over the top when the defensive line is anchored to the penalty spot is going to require a pretty calamitous error.
For me it was a penalty, mind. It doesn't matter if it's a clumsy accident, he's fouled him. Just as bad a decision as the one in the City game.

Poch getting that CV ready to take over United.
