Because I’m pretty fucking sure the Glazers have supported Trump’s previous and next election campaigns financially.
I’m assuming mind, but I’d be fucking shocked if it wasn’t the case
One of them held a fundraiser for Trump, yes. He owns a 15% stake in United as far as I'm aware.

Fucking hell, tragic match to watch tonight. Obviously we were quite a bit better at playing football than the Apoel lads. But boy did we let them get into the game withour sloppy passing and terrible defense at times. It doesn't really helpt that even with 11 against 10 they still defend with the whole team, but there were enough chances to score a goal and just hang back. They just don't reward themselves and bring on the struggle allowing teams like Apoel to get into the game again. We really should finish this in Amsterdam though, but it's gonna be another tensive night, much like against PAOK.
Also, fuck Lahoz. Some of the yellows were definitely alright, but some of them were pretty easily given.

It's true we never have anything bad to say about the Glazers.

That's quite obviously not the point and you know it. The point is that taking morality shots against football teams/fans is fucking stupid, it's a game in which black player's poor performances now result in racial abuse, a game that is going to kill over a thousand people to facilitate the next World Cup etc etc.
Everyone is complicit, we put up with it all because football is just too much fucking fun. As morally bankrupt as that is, it's true, so taking a pop shot at City for promoting an LGBT cause just seems....off to me.

Could've just typed out "what about" and left it there tbf. I wasn't seeking to play the great cosmic moral equivalence game.
Edit: But if I did want to do that I would've pointed out that City Group's stated objective is to internationally sportswash UAE's appalling HR record and that's a major difference.

For someone that doesn’t seek to talk about morality, you sure do talk about morality a lot recently.
But hey, I’m sure if Sunderland ever got taken over by Saudis and surpassed us in every way I’d eventually also resort to spluttering about their ownership, so I do understand.
Given Coutinho's departure, Dembele's history and Suarez age/declining trend, Moneymar has gone from a luxury to necessity.
Gotta admit that the Spidey films under Marvel Studios were by far the best life action Spider-Man films in a while. Seems a bit silly they can't make an agreement on a project that is a gueranteed cash cow. I get that Sony wants all the money and that they have quite some Spidey related projects. But even though that Venom movie made quite some money, it was pretty shit. Without the MCU tie-ins I can't really see another popular Spidey film though to be honest.
maybe sony needs raimi back
maybe this is the truth that nobody can see
maybe the raimi films were not bad
maybe spider-man 4 with tobey will be a thing

Mate the first two Raimi films were great.
Think I'll go watch Spider Verse again now, it's on Netflix.

Sony and Disney will come to an agreement, Sony needs Disney creative underlings, Disney needs spidey for their future phases, both want the metric fuck-ton of money good spidey films make.
There is too much money on the table for either party to walk away from.

If this helps kill Marvel, I’m all for it. It won’t, of course. So I’ll just take solice in the fact it’s pissing off and upsetting a lot of nerds and sending Reset into meltdown

I hate the cult following that Disney gets. Sony has made a lot of mistakes but I wouldn't put this exclusively on them.
Disney went in asking to split it 50%/50%, 10 times the previous deal they had.
Sony owns the rights for the movies, Disney makes a fuck ton of money from licensing deals, comics and merchandise.
Disney was greedy and they probably were the ones to leak out the info to put pressure on Sony.
They made Spider Man into a central character of the MCU and it would be pretty weird to write him off right now.
Besides Feige and the MCU cast, the rest of the team behind the last two Spider Man movies is still under contract at Sony.
They both have things to lose with the split but the Sony can probably still keep Spider Man a success for them.
Sure, it probably won't make 1B$ again but it could easily do 700-800M$ and they would get more money out of it than if they agreed to the 50% split.
