By bud Go To Postwhy is sporting so sadIt's a tragic club. SAD stands for Sociedade Anónima Desportiva, the Portuguese equivalent to a public limited / joint stock sports company.
By inky Go To PostI doubt he's getting loaned, but he is in the ever-growing list of "Zidane doesn't rate him" players by the media for sure. Considering the amount of young promising players he's loaned out, sold or will never play, plus the amount of high profile players he's discarded, it's entirely believable he just doesn't rate most players.Probably a worse manager than current Mou
Squires loves the smell of his own farts too much now. If he’s writing jokes for his comics that require so many words, they aren’t good jokes.
Yup. I pretty much just sift through the panels to see if there is an out of context visual gag that could be referenced in the future.

It's a bit of a rough one. I think it's good that City is showing they are supportive of the LGBT community/movement locally. But it's also hypocritical because of where the money is coming from. But I'd say it's better to do something than nothing at all. The bigger question is probably why a club would want to sell it's soul to the ruling family of a nation that is still a few centuries behind on certain aspects in life. The easy answer is of course winning trophies and the road to glory. But I guess if you were a long time City fan when the take over was happening you sure would have had your doubts about the new owners. After all these years of infinite money you probably won't ever think back about it again considering your club would go back to being mediocre at best without the oil funding. But yeah, a completely UAE money funded club openly supporting the pride is at least a bit awkward to all parties concerned.
City are a joke. Probably the most disgusting club in all of world football. Really says something about one’s moral fibre if they are willing to still support such an enterprise.
yikes dawgs @ people who literally pick their team coz they win a lot having a pop at people who've followed a club their entire life as if they have a say who owns their club

I doubt gloryhunters would call out other gloryhunters. That would at least be a said affair to watch.
And I always wonder how life long fans feel about their new owners. Depends a bit on who's buying of course. As for my own club, I wouldn't even want a rich local guy buying the club. It's a football institution, not a business model. I already hate the fact that we're on the stock market. Share holders always have a say when it comes to money decisions. And in the end they are there to make money, besides winning trophies.

By Flutter Go To PostSo basically it's wrong to criticise club owners of rival clubs?
In what sense really?
where did i say this?
I kinda understand feeling bored of these polemics, but didn't realise I had to support an eternally unsuccessful team to show some moral fibre.
Will check back in around 2025 when Manchester Club reaches the requisite level of shit.

you can't really go on about being morally righteous when we support the league which allows these fucks to promote themselves through it but ok. the premier league/football league/fa/whoever is as culpable, in fact far more so than any City fan, in allowing this situation to occur. when are we going to get angry at the people with actual power? never, we'll keep sucking on the teat of the Premier League until it runs dry.
now i'm going to give my £10 to a club which publicly supported a lad who admitted to a bit of noncery to watch us lose against Rochdale in an hour and i fuckin love it
edit: my spelling has become absolutely dire, how does this even happen

By Hixx Go To Postliterally means nothing, thanks for the response. The evidence mounts...
Also really, all these pride campaigns from companies, clubs and what not are full of hypocrisy. On one hand obviously it's good, to promote gay rights. But where were they all just a few years ago, when it wasnt popular to support it? Just screams cynical business decisions from everyone, trying to profit from the struggles of some.

Just screams cynical business decisions from everyone, trying to profit from the struggles of some. There has been an LGBT supporter's club for City since 2014 called the Canal Street Blues. I know they interact with City and City have had an official connection with them for pride events and the like in the past. Not to say this isn't a fairly recent thing from City but that is the case for most of the clubs I think. It's good that they and any other clubs are being more involved.
I do agree that it can be tiresome with businesses seemingly capitalizing off of it but it seems like any involvement is better than none. Here are a few things from back in 2016:
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostObviously there will have been fan groups that supported it. But that was not the point at all.Well, you said where were they a few years ago.. and I was showing you that a few years ago City were officially involved as well. I think the Rainbow Laces campaign was sort of the final push a lot of the clubs needed to get involved. Maybe they frankly don't even have a choice.
City were recognized in 2016 for their diversity and inclusion. People will view this as a part of the sportswashing or whatever though so damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Worst Ajax match in ages (0-0), but ad another non away loss to the list and they should be able to fnish Apoel of in the return match, they will need a better performance than tonights, my god this was bad.
Meier needs to fight fire with fire, point out the hypocrisy when the United account posts some pro-LGBT stuff.
Because I’m pretty fucking sure the Glazers have supported Trump’s previous and next election campaigns financially.
I’m assuming mind, but I’d be fucking shocked if it wasn’t the case
