Yes we aren’t attacking much - but how rare is it now to see us play a side like Wolves and have a plan? We have controlled the game entirely. We haven’t given them a sniff. AWB, Maguire and McSauce (!) have been outstanding. Rashford and Martial are looking confident, and together with James leading the counter-press and absolutely not letting Wolves settle. These guys are made to play big sides; not only have we played like a de facto big side, we’ve also deserved our lead. Really enjoying it.
Negatives are sloppiness in the pass from Lindelof and Pogba; the latter is being outshone by a spotty Scottish virgin.

Liking Man Utd's confidence on the ball and during defensive transitions. I was hoping for a better football match though, Wolves have been poor everywhere.
Think Lingard’s been alright. His movement is good, he’s dragging their midfield around the shop. We absolutely need more from a 10, he has no goal threat, but he’s serving a real purpose tonight.

AWB is a beast. Nice finishing from Martial too. I think James would’ve been good coming on as a sub rather than starting.
Would be much more confident of a win if Martial had put away another. But can't really fault the overall performance.

Thought bar the odd moments of silly passes, Pogba has been good. Found some decent through balls and has helped control the game alonside McSauce. Think having James on that RW has forced their RB to question getting forwards.
Wolves will have a spell in the game where they get on top, esp if this stays at 1-0. Need to handle it when it comes.

Reckon AWB will be England's first choice soon enough. As much as I love TAA, England can't afford a rightback who doesn't defend particularly well the way Liverpool can.
Shaw doesn't really need to get forward as much now so should be fine if he positions well.

They spent 35m on him this summer so probably a while. Think he’s 27/28 already too. Kind of player Milan buy in four years’ time.
