Just going to warn you United bros, I don't think Mason is that good at pens either. Though he did score one in preseason. Gomes is money though.
Gah.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the response from Sunday. A couple of better timed runs, and we would have won. That, or Kepa's wrists being stronger than wet paper. Very frustrating considering he dived the right way twice.
I thought we were the better team in large parts, but Liverpool's front 3 are just so good. Their power levels just increase tenfold when they're on. Edit: Kinda like Kante with us.

I do think this will be Chelsea in a nutshell this season. Lots of nice stuff and an unfair-feeling defeat will follow. Nice in principle but better personnel at the back is needed.

They'll look better when Rudiger's back; think James needs to depose Azpi asap too. Christiansen looks better than Zouma to me, but both aren't that great. Think Emerson's looked decent the last few games.

Kante still looks the most vital CM in the league if not the best. He looks like the player that nearly every other team are crying out for.
Up front is where they'll really suffer. There is goals in the side - Barkley, RLC, CHO, Pedro, Mount, Willian, Abraham, Giroud, Batshuayi must all be worth at least 5-10 goals a season each - but they need someone who has the potential to score 20-30. Liverpool have 3 or 4 who will do that, City the same. Even United have Rashford, Martial, Pogba who will likely get at least close to 15 each.

This is a distinct possibility, but I hope it's just a case of the margins not going our way as opposed to anything deeper.
That being said, if you're right, it would make sense - season of transition etc.

lad is disgustingly good
i will claim credit as while everyone was succing off vardy and mahrez i was on the kante coach
Thought Chelsea were really impressive at breaking through the press but Liverpool were very open at the same time.

Chelsea were pretty great, and I thought they were fairly decent against United. Just don’t have enough super saiyan goalscorers.
Happy we got to win another trophy for the wall and that Adrian now feels like a Liverpool player. He had a good game all told and the penalty decision was a complete farce.

Jaguars fans........ Trying to pinpoint what Prem club they are and I just keep thinking they are the Everton equivalent in the NFL.
Couldn’t stay awake to get through the first half of the game but obviously chuffed at the result. Would prefer to hear that we were dominating, rather than that Chelsea would have been worthy winners, but I guess I’ll just be grateful. ;)

By confuziz Go To PostLinius have you seen the PAOK statement? They even have a problem with Sierd de Vos.
This is brilliant stuff
Haha yes, it's fucking hilarious. I mean, I understand they must feel pretty bad. But there's just not much to say about the penalties that were given. If your tactics are to hang back and make fouls within the 6 yard box, then yes you might end up getting called some penalties against you. And well Sierd, he was just being Sierd. Mainly being a character of the once refreshing commenator he was. Always talking shit, PAOK got played.
