Interesting going from Mou's spont on analysis to Souness platitudes, really is such a huge gap in knowledge base

I'm just happy we won, still a lot of work to be done but there's some surgical finishes today.
Of course, our xG might be a problem. We only got 6 shots on target.

I wish the Sky pundits would stop interrupting Mourinho when he's talking about tactics and principles. It's very insightful
By Flutter Go To Post💀💀💀💀you can tell Mou never played at the top level.
Apparently, thats why Ramos never respected him

The score line was very harsh on Chowsee, they had a much better structure and positioning and held the ball better.

Last season we looked great until we started getting a lot of fatigue related injuries, the team lost confidence and everything went downhill. As it stands that could happen with Lampard.
With United it's not like Moyes didnt have some games where United won big early on either.
One game is not enough to make a judgement yet.
Only saw a lil of the game today and none of the goals in real time. Wow @ Utd. Did see the clip for their second goal with Zouma down with the head injury.. somewhat surprised the VAR did not pull that back since they're supposedly taking it more seriously.
Early to give much thought to it from a Chelsea perspective, but a huge result for Utd especially since they don't have a top 6 team until Arsenal in week 7. Could reel off some big points early.

One game wont necessarily tell us anything. I remember Moyes turning Swansea over 4-1.
It was an under-strength Chelsea with lots of injuries, no Luiz and no transfer window and their midfield was still better - may be on-par.
I am thankful that AWB and HM, DJ all had an impact. Hopefully another window tides us over, but I am still scared Ole won't make it to see the next window, Chelsea, as depleted as they were still looked more composed and better coached.
By Laboured Go To PostHonestly, this is probably the best result for all parties. I wonder if Suarez gets phased out a little or if Messi plays in midfield though? Not sure how else you accommodate everyone there.

Im still 50-50 on Pogba and the feeling just see saws throughout tonight's match.
Who’s the next good brexit LB?
Because we’re gonna need one this winter or next summer. Shaw ain’t it

Too much dead weight still, we needed to rebuild and didn't. There was no revolution, just an evolution. We're not winning anything this season.
By Freewheelin Go To PostwatMeaning there'll be a chance Pogba gets enamoured with Real again. Ole wants to keep him in the team.
Not sure saying Chelsea were "better coached" is correct. They have better techincal players in midfield that can play in tighter positions and a player in Jorginho who is very good at controlling. Both teams gave the ball away often and ultimately, the fact they had more of the ball helped us in the 2nd half as it just allowed us to counter.
Assume Ole/the coaches got them in at half time and changed the structure so we defended in a lower block. The Chelsea mid had less space to operate in and forced them to go wide more often. Luke Shaw wasn't always 2v1 either and Abraham was getting very little joy vs the two CBs.
Feel like Chelsea will improve as Lampard gets more players back, kante and Rudiger for the defensive side, but he really needs one of his strikers to get firing. Also needs some of the other attackers to step up and collectively fill the void Hazard has left. Not sure if what they have at the moment if good enough. Time will tell.
For United, think we'll struggle vs Wolves if they play on the counter and drop deep. With the front 4 today, we don't have the creativity to open a tight defence or the best attacking movement is small spaces. Could probably see Mata play ahead of Perreira in that game (or Gomes pls).
Good start and it looks like the 3 signings will actually be good additions this time around.

Yeah, Mata is a much better option than Pereira or Lingard; I suppose Lingard because there’s a slight chance Andreas Coutinho smacks one in from distance.

a front trio consisting of neymar - grease - messi seems like the most likely option.
doubt he'd drop messi down to midfield; he'd be less of a goal threat from there, and he's too lazy to defend.
i like this transfer because it means suarez will finally get benched.
