The dispute came after members of Mr. Sanders’s data team were found to have gotten access to proprietary information from Hillary Clinton’s team during a software glitch with an important voter file. The Democratic National Committee acted swiftly to deny the Sanders campaign future access to the party’s 50-state voter file, which contains information about millions of Democrats and is invaluable to campaigns on a daily basis.

But Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the party committee, said that it was an indisputable fact that the Sanders campaign had gained access to information that it knew it was not entitled to. If the situation were reversed, she told CNN, the Sanders campaign would expect the same type of discipline of the Clinton campaign.

“The Sanders campaign doesn’t have anything other than bluster at the moment that they can put out there,” she told CNN on Friday. “It’s like if you found the front door of a house unlocked and someone decided to go into the house and take things that didn’t belong to them.”

Josh Uretsky, the fired national data director from the Sanders campaign, insisted in an interview on Friday that he had merely been trying to verify the breach, adding: “We did so in a way that we know would create a record that the D.N.C. and NGP VAN would have access to. We deliberately did not download or take custodianship of the records.”

Mr. Uretsky acknowledged that it was clear that Clinton data was being looked at, but said that he was trying to assess how available the Sanders campaign information was to others.

Pretty convenient for the DNC to do this after only posting 4 debates before the primaries.

I've really been looking for a reason to leave ever since Malka pulled that reprehensible shit with Gondo. I missed Gondo a bunch. Dude was one of my absolute favorite posters on GAF and I missed talking to him.

Been super crabby on GAF ever since. Really busted my faith in the entire community to see its owner act like such an unrepentant douche. So perhaps I've been asking to be banned ever since. Kinda felt like it to me.

The media has barely blinked at the proposal of war crimes being committed in mass against Muslims and I think it's because the "moderate" Dems just are too distrusting and afraid of Muslims and are afraid to admit that the overwhelming reason is bigotry. If there was more pushback against the media, I think there would be more pushback against these heinous ideas from non-Trump candidates.

Anyway, it looks like Trump is probably at 40% among Republicans now:

“Trump is painting a bigger picture — a kind of appeal to nostalgia and to a mythical golden age that he wants to bring back in America that is very appealing to evangelicals,” Jones says. He notes that one recent PRRI poll found that 72 percent of white evangelical Protestants think the American culture and way of life has “mostly changed for the worse” since the 1950s.

“Evangelicals strongly believe American culture has changed for the worse,” Jones says. “If you listen to evangelical rhetoric, there are so many throwback words — retake, restore, revive, repent.”

Meanwhile, Jones notes that another recent PRRI poll found that 55 percent of white evangelical Protestants thinks that “the growing number of newcomers from other countries” is a threat to “traditional American culture and values.”
