By FligureSkatingFan Go To PostYou should also notice that they've made more money from sales than any other club on that list (and, per the previous list, only Monaco has accumulated more from sales than them). Moreover, I would argue, the big difference between them and el clasicunts (and all of the other large clubs in Europe, successful or not, with the exception of BVB) is that the latter predominantly spend to acquire, whereas Atletico largely spends to replace. Their talent is constantly moving off, and they're recycling the funds into the squad. In contrast, clubs like Barcelona and #J sell their players to raise funds for bigger purchases of players they want more. Sure, they spend above what they make from the sales, but so do most clubs.fair enough, but still, that's big boys behavior.

Appreciate sometimes you forget who the worst club in the world is and then they put out nice reminders every once in a while.

By domino Go To PostHow we looking? Score line looks goodalright going forward on the counter, still dodgy at the back
By JesalR Go To PostDodgers are the team with the highest payroll in baseball and are run very well. They have youth and prime superstars. Been to the last two World Series and are primed to go again this year.
Anybody know anything about him? I'm pretty wary of American owners
No idea if any of that will translate to football lol.

By Killer7 Go To PostGomes looking good in the #10 positionLong term Mata replacement?
If Ole is trying to turn us into a Pool/City-esque pressing team, c’est fantastique. Definitely need someone more mobile than Matic for that tho. And probably means Martial is dead.
Despite it being a decent run out for most, Lingard was invisible, Martial is not a striker, Matic remains too slow and Smalling takes 2 seconds longer than any averager footballer to do anything with the ball.

Martial looking shit is a stretch.
Not sure what you lads are expecting but he's looked alright the last 2 games. This is probably the most we've seen him press, he tracks back when needed too. Been good at linking up the play when dropping deep.
No doubt he'll probably move back to the LW when the season starts but he's been fine.
Lingard on the other hand needs to sort his passing out.

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostLong term Mata replacement? He's in the final year year if his contract. Need a new agreement quick.
On the topic of the game, Rojo is just atrocious. Shaw has his faults, but at least he's a competent defender. Rojo, whether it be left back or centre back, is the drizzling shits.
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostJuve are fucking idiots. You will be proven wrong once again, this I swear.
Spend all that money on a 4th choice CB and giving astronomical wages to Ramsey(always injured) and Rabiot(a player who has spent more time being a cunt the past five years than playing) when we still don’t have someone to control the midfield. And no Zabo, Pjanic is not gonna be that player under Sarri.
The Verratti dream is truly dead.
By Cleff Go To PostHe's in the final year year if his contract. Need a new agreement quick.I don't recall any other clubs tracking him. I reckon he'll sign.

Gomes is honestly looking better than both Mata and Lingard at present, but I appreciate this is pre-season and seniors tend not to put in quite as much effort.
