Would have taken Bale two years ago. But now it seems like he's happy just to coast along making bit part appearances and picking up Champions Leagues titles.
Don't need players that have fulfilled everything they've wanted to. Need hungry, younger lads that want success. Ones that aren't injured every other game would be great too.

Cunt joining cunt team, quel surprise. Griezmann is gonna get it at the Wanda.
Translated into English:
There goes the Atleti/Barca relationship, I doubt Atletico will continue to willingly sell to Barca from now on.

Atleti telling Barca to fuck off because Bartomeu wanted to pay in installments, then exposing they've had an agreement with the player since March. Greaseman told to get back to training.
Good stuff there.
Good stuff there.
Frustrated's posts about Bale are incredible, It's like looking into the other universe in Fringe. Is Leonard Nimoy still alive in your world Frustrated?

Shouldn't surprise anyone that Griezmann and Bartomeu have combined to form one of the most chronic and bungled transfers in living memory.
So now Arsenal are linked with Marcelo... I'll be really sad if we give up on Tierney.
Wonder how that fucked Atleti's finances are now that they aren't selling Greaseman.

Not a chance. They’re desperate for a bidding war and they’re using us because they know we’re looking at a forward.
Been thinking for a while this Griezmann to Barca thing wasn’t going to go smoothly. Either he goes in the January like happened with us and Van Dijk, or he goes to PSG this summer and Barca get Neymar that way.

By MushForBrains Go To PostBarça most likely went in to sabotage the deal once Neymar was offered up.It's funny because it's true.
By Cleff Go To PostRisking ridicule here, but I'd much rather we sign Longstaff than Bale.
You sure on that?
Nine first team appearances.
The problem Real have with Bale is that everyone knows Zidane hates him and won’t select him. Surely they’d rather have a reasonable fee for him than just pay him to sit in the stands until Zidane gets sacked.
By Laboured Go To PostYou sure on that? Not at that amount, but I don't want Bale at all. Think he's a busted flush.

That price for Longstaff really brings into light what our own negotiating are up to. I'm pretty sure we briefed that we could get him for £25m. Now it's double? Lads, do better.

I've been wondering whether there's so much information around on our dealings because we release it or because people go out of their way to find it. Prolly bit of both.
Also I'm quite certain Newcastle don't expect to receive that much.

Ninja once again proving to the real guy
I'm not sure how Frustrated could still defend Gareth Bale. Even his teammates don't like him. His injury records are something too.
Not to mention when you buy a player that old and with an insane amount of wages, you'd expect at least being a leader off and on the pitch.
So no thanks, we already have Sanchez.

So we have a club where leaks are seeping through the cracks because really, shite management all around.
By Laboured Go To PostAll I want is to see the fortnite celebration once, and the deal will be worth it

Insane he can't speak Spanish, blows my mind that.
He's no leader on the pitch that's for sure, what he does off the pitch I don't give a fuck, they're human and can do what they want but sometimes optics is important too.
Comparing bale to "another Sanchez" is so wrong, but I understand how a benched Sanchez has scarred you all.

Clubs can deny buyout clause payments? I thought when it was triggered there's nothing the clubs can do?
By Frustrated_me Go To PostInsane he can't speak Spanish, blows my mind that.Gary Lineker was only at Barca for three seasons and still speaks Spanish to this day:

How a player acts off the pitch is always important. Team cohesion is a thing, and having a player that you trust and know off the pitch well helps when it's matchday. Ours is already as fragile as it is.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostThat's what Liverpool did with Suarez, although the Spanish system might be a bit different

By sohois Go To PostThat's what Liverpool did with Suarez, although the Spanish system might be a bit differentWasn't it more due to Suarez's release clause being verbal than on paper?
By Flutter Go To PostCrazy that United is willing to wait a fucking season for Sancho when Malcom is available for cheap. What do you mean wait a season for Sancho?
Guy's got a contract until 2022, we're in no hurry to sell next year either. If United is desperate for Sancho, they might as well pay the ridiculous amount we can't disapprove now
By sohois Go To PostThat's what Liverpool did with Suarez, although the Spanish system might be a bit different
Very different legally and factually.
By Milchmonster Go To PostWhat do you mean wait a season for Sancho?Well he wants to play in the Champion's League. Even if we pay the ridiculous amount, he'll decline from what the journalists has said.

So he's a definite target next season if things goes well.
They just need to pay. That's all there is.
Think the story that Pogba is given an extended vacation is only half true. Raiola then decided to push the narrative after.

By Frustrated_me Go To PostWell, the whole point is that Barca didn't trigger the release clause. They just asked Atletico if they can pay in installments. I guess Barca can still just pay the money and get him, unless there has already been a deadline.

The next few seasons in La Liga will be interesting. Real and Barca can't keep this up. Even more with Barca when they bloody need to take a loan to pay Messi and Suarez's wages.
Real is at least looking to transition in relying more on their prospects though.
Barca still have their name and reputation though. Pity they let La Masia go to shit.

We are starting to develop into a good team, but we really dropped the ball in the latter half of the season. I was happy when Ole remarked that some players will leave and now think that it probably was horrible for morale.
Not to mention the chuckle brothers are still going to be here and whereabouts.

Continuing on with Michael Cox's book, my brain is finding it odd to envisage teams playing with three central strikers - Juve '97, Spain '06 according to the book.
His chapter on the false 9 goes on and on about the Argentine enganche but doesn't say tf it is apart being the #10: how is it different from the European #10?

By Ciaran De Vries Go To Postthe 120 release clause expired its now 200 or something. Are you sure about that? Can't find that, only that it has decreased on July 1st.
The way I see this Atletico message is that they just want Barca to pay the money and get it the fuck over already. They probably expected they'd have the money already and maybe need it now
I think on July 1st the clause went back to 120.
Spanish is a hard language to learn, and I do four hours of in-class lessons per week. Saying that, there’s no fucking excuse for Bale not to be fluent by now. No excuse whatsoever.

The 120m has yet to be deposited, as such Atletico is asking Greassymen to show up for training, lol.
What a shit show, both Barca and Greassymen are clowns.
