Crazy that United is willing to wait a fucking season for Sancho when Malcom is available for cheap.
Neymar is so fucked in that league... Money doesn't get you everything. He wants to leave, but is chain bound by contract.
just purely based on numbers here
I don't see how United would consider De Ligt to be the cheaper overall deal compared to 'arry. I mean if you're still haggling..

Would be beautiful if the Umtiti deal goes in at the last day of the transfer window
Only for him to fail his medical

It wouldn't be, there's no way we'd be offering Maguire as much in contractual terms compared to what MDL is asking for.
Also, if Lukaku and Pogba are going can we just get it done and move on. It's not like Ed is fast at signing players at the best of times.

£150m and £75m respectively. The one time we have leverage we have to use it. I honestly don't care if they are unsettled. Not that we have any prospects for next season other than hopefully finishing ahead of Arsenal this time.

If this were FM I'd certainly take a price cut to get unsettled players out of my team. Not my money, but I guess that cuts both ways.
By Linius Go To PostToday is #FrenkieFriday by the way. Barca going all out on that Frenkie goodness todayThe man is literally perfect.
Can't deny I'm looking forward to seeing him on the pitch at Barca now his chapter with us is done, he's gonna tear La Liga apart
Yeah keep them unless good (read: investible) offers come in.

By Ciaran De Vries Go To Postwould you guys take Bale + money?
I mean you, not Woody.
No mainly on the basis that Bale wouldn't want to be here, he is injury prone and is too old even if he wasn't. Unless they offered big money and Bale formed a relatively small part of the deal (unlikely).
Have we swapped Toby + £40m for De Ligt yet?

I also think Ole is pushing for Pogba to stay at all costs, and why wouldn't he. Best performer by a mile and it's his ass on the line.
I dont blame Ole, as much as I disagree with the decision. Much like Klopp trying to keep Coutinho.
Just worried because Pogba was one of those that downed tools last season. When mid to low table players have managed to press him convincingly last season, you know that he is becoming a problem.

I wanted Bale last season really badly. I don't think he's a Sanchez type problem (yet), he would definitely improve our team but he's also a massive gamble we can no longer afford. Only way I'd take him is if he wanted a move (he doesn't), Madrid give him to us at a cut down price (£30m tops) and they took care of most of his excess wages (they won't).
So basically, no. Good luck getting rid, Madrid.

It's a problem when it's looking like he'd rather play golf than bond with his teammates. Not what we need right now.
I said at the end of last season that Pogba's lethargy creates a big structural problem for our mdifield's ability to defend and press and I'm sticking by that. Provided we can get the right people in I'd be fine with his sale.
The problem if he goes is we'd need three midfielders. We already lost two and we are incapable of doing more than one deal at a time. We simply wouldn't have the time to get three bodies in. Longstaff and Bruno are the names right now, but hard to say if we are getting them both already.
It really does. Statswise it looks like a brilliant season for him, but his overall performance is spotty at best.
I'd speculate a lot of work has been done on those two already and are not too far away (could be wrong obvs).
Club has already identified Saul as a Pogba replacement but I can't see hm wanting to come.

Saul is a no go. Maybe SMS, but he'd still be a lot of money, even after a so so season. We already get targets at a premium, with Pogba money other clubs would add a 25%+ tax every time.

That's why I'd argue you should purchase the player you want before you let the player they are replacing go. I realise there lies an inherent risk there but when you're a rich club you do that to bolster your position and not get charged the windfall tax.
30m for Bale and pay some of his wages and give full asking price for Pogba? Get real.
In today's market, with his experience and talent, he's a realistic 70m. At 30m we would just keep him, the only negative would be is his wages.
Pogba wants to leave, let him go. Bale would improve your team immediately, making him your best player IMO.

I'm perfectly real. You don't want him, want our most expensive player in return, and he's on massive fuck you wages. I mean, you just made my argument for me again.
If you are unwilling to take a hit on his price then by all means keep him. *shrugs* You are the ones trying to unload him on us, for once we aren't really in for him. It's a hypothetical of what it would take for us to get him.

Value is relative to talent and experience or potential, but just to a degree. Just look at Coutinho. We are OK with Pogba going, but are under no obligation to make it easy for you. On the other hand, Bale isn't really a priority so it's on you to make it a good deal for us, not the other way around.
As long as you want him, 3 years left on his contract, WC winner, young, Zidane favourite, we can value Pogba as high as we want. Good luck trying to convince me Bale is a similar situation. A year ago with Mou in charge you had a point. That ship has sailed.

No way Bale is leaving. Nobody wants to be burdened with a £500k PW footballer who’d rather play Golf. Hasn’t helped matters that you’ve spent the last two seasons telling the world you desperately want rid of him, either.

This being said, Bale is still the same player Mourinho wanted, there was interest then, don't see why there isn't now. He's the same player +1 year older.

I would be interested in seeing Pogba staying at United, being forced to play for a team he's clearly not in it to play for anymore. He's so checked out.
Lazio director Igli Tare is reportedly in London for talks, as Manchester United push for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
oh shiiiit. Pogba will be gone for sure

I don't think it would be that different from where we are now. If you've seen him play, it takes him half an hour to start sulking and stop tracking back.
