AWB and DJ I'm fully behind. And obv itd be amazing to get Dybala for Lukaku.
But why delude yourself into thinking Fernandes will be good. He won't. Can anybody give any examples of established midfielders leaving Portugal and even being decent? Neves is the only one. All the rest have been rubbish.
It's not about the mighty PL. I don't care about that. The players just aren't very good.
Bernardo... Silva?
Or do you mean straight to the prem?
By Vivalapizza Go To PostSeriously though - not being cynical just for the sake of it.Matic? For a while at least

Neves was nowhere near an established player in Portugal, he was a substitute for Porto.
Portugal has one of the national teams in the world, Bruno Fernandes is easily better than any English midfielder besides maybe Ali.
I know because I watch the Premier League almost as much as I watch the Liga Nos.

Watching Fernandes play alongside B. Silva for Portugal made me think yeah he's clearly a very good player.

Lad looks weak, especially after skipping leg day

But, look, none of this is going to work if we have to start every attack with Chris Smalling taking the sum total of 5 seconds to control the ball, turn and then pass it to our right back.

Anyway like I said - never seen the guy play. I'm literally just guessing. But seems naive to me to be optimistic about this one - if it even happens.

By Vivalapizza Go To PostHe left Portugal aged 19 or something. Matic is one, certainly.Bruno Fernandes left Portugal when he was 18. Played for Novara on the Serie B and then moved to the Serie A where he totalled 129 appearances and scored 15 goals between Udinese and Sampdoria.

He was sold to Sporting for 8.5M€ in a deal that Sampdoria fans called an huge disgrace as he was worth much more.
Since then he has grown immensely, both on and off the field.

That doesn't sound good
The guy had to live with 500€ in a new country for the first months in Italy.
That made him stronger mentally and is one of the reasons why I think he would do well in England.
He has a winning mentality, he is not the kind of guy who gives up or gets comfortable.
He will always give it all on the field and will run until he is exhausted.

also Kean and Cutrone being juved like that lol Shanks is gonna slit his wrists with an umbrella
It is absolutely crazy both clubs getting rid of their young talented strikers, and replacing them with much more expensive options that are nopt all that much better right now.

I agree about Bruno Fernandes. Was shit in Serie A and then goes back to Portugal and becomes a beast haha.
By scently Go To PostI'd like to believe the club has this in mind. You guys do like to freak out for no reason at all.hahaha.
Bear in mind that this is happening, 6 days before the window closes. We have failed to get Darmian off the book in the past 2 seasons.
It's a mess. Being 2 or 3 players over the limit is not a sign that the club is being managed well.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostFallen pro bolsonaro confirmed @peleIt didn't take long for the inchoate neofascist internationale to realize that "gamers" are their ideal demographic - socially-degenerate, mentally-underdeveloped misogynists, racists, and other various revanchists.
Trump should just hold rallies on the Modern Warfare servers. The jingo mic-breathers would fucking love it.
That's one way to look at it. Imo he's reaching out to the most discriminated against minority, gamers. Rise up.
Well Darmian, Joel Pereira, Lukaku is definitely out.
2, 3 more... my hope it's Smalling, Martial, Matic.
Losing any of our under 21 wouldn't do shit since they wouldn't need to be registered. Angel Gomes hopefully signs a new contract and go on loan, but wouldn't think less of him if he refuses and leaves for free when his contract is up.

By n8 dogg Go To PostHe wouldn’t be playing striker thoRIP Dybala, then.
Ole's plan to stick with Rashford was pre-Dybala. I'm sure in one training session he'll change his mind
unless the plan is to continue being a mid tier club

I would love to hear directly from Paratici or Nedved what exactly is going on with Dybala. Up until a couple of months ago they were defending him sword in hand, talking about how's the future of the club, etc. If they're now willing to accompany him to the door when he clearly wants to stay, then they must've convinced themselves he's never crossing the line between talented and world class player. He's been walking it for far too long and he actually fell well behind it over the past year and half, so I can't really blame them. Still, feels like a very sudden change of mind.
I'd rather he stayed for another season, see if he can turn it around with Sarri, but selling him isn't the issue. The player coming the other way is.

If we're going by last season, then Lukaku certainly has a better chance of breaking into our XI and will certainly be more useful to the team and in extension Ronaldo. But that was last season and under a completely different manager
I'm not sure what's world class anymore as the definition seems to change every now and then, but he's definitely in that Griezmann tier.
all in all, it's very difficult for me to question anything the club is doing, I'm sure it's more than just capital gains. I've long called for Dybala's pretty head (mostly for his attitude) so I'm not too disappointed.
Think it's rather they think of the club first than the player.
I think it's rather smart to prioritize what the manager thinks first than one player, especially since it's his first season than force it on him.

Sarri has yet to even train Dybala since he was on vacation
he doesn't discuss the market or demands anything really, according to him.

Think it's both management and coach. Dybala is tragically wasted, but like I said what can you do when you have the GOAT poacher as the focus?
Think a lot of Juventus fans will be surprised by Lukaku's link up plays. Just as long as Sarri doesn't turn him into a holding target man.
The Dutch teams with another great start to the European season. Let's pray PSV will have a proper EL run then at least. Don't imagine Utrecht and AZ will do a whole lot.
