By FligureSkatingFan Go To PostI'll probably regret saying this publicly, but I'm glad we didn't spend the money on Pepe. One good season in Ligue Ughn isn't worth that. If all the rumored prices are to be believed, we could get both Lozano and James for only ~€10m more.I'm really really skeptical about this transfer. That's too much money for an unproven player.
I hope we know what we are doing.
By Vini.lad Go To PostI'm really really skeptical about this transfer. That's too much money for an unproven player.Aubameyang and Lacazette were both less. And your defence remains trash. I don't understand this at all.

I remember when he came back from the 2014 World Cup and was supposed to carry the rightwing for us. Had a hat trick the previous season and first game back scored a great team goal vs Burnley. Really unfortunate his career didn’t pan out how I thought.
We’re signing Pépé because atm we don’t have a goal scoring winger and he seems to fit the bill. Crazy price but we’re finally spending big money and that’s exciting. Also I don’t know who Arsenal can get for the CB position lol

By Vini.lad Go To Postthey were proven qualityYeah, exactly my point: proven players for less money. The market has gone mad.
we needed a defense
but we also needed a winger like pepe
its a case of our squad needing a complete overhaul top to bottom, something that Wenger ignored for years (look at how Torreira is the first CDM we've had in a while) and only now Emery is trying to fix with no CL money

Fully agree with you. I don't understand either
we're starting the season with Niles and J E N K I N S O N as RB options and god knows what our pairing cb will be
By Xpike Go To Postwe needed a defenseI get that. But that's when I would make several shrewd purchases, not a solitary huge, questionable one.

By Vivalapizza Go To PostYou just know Dybala is going to be total shit for us
After ADM, Falcon and Sanchez we're fucking due one of these to work out.
By inky Go To PostI'm very confident bakla will reject the move.
Trouble is Inter then have us over a barrel on price a fair bit.
By Laboured Go To PostAfter ADM, Falcon and Sanchez we're fucking due one of these to work out.I can't even remember the last time I saw Dybala play but just don't see how he fits into the team or the PL in an effective way
Also this Fernandes chap is a total and utter waste of time isn't he - it's one of the most obv ways of wasting 60m

Idk, both are excellent players in their own right. Need the right system and complimentary players for them tho. We super need a proper DM.

By Laboured Go To PostTrouble is Inter then have us over a barrel on price a fair bit.Not really. They just have to meet the price. We fucked up when we allowed Juve to insert a player into the deal.
Keeping Lukaku isn't the end of the world, if only because Maguire isn't dependent on his departure. If we had to make room for a MF or something, then it would be a nightmare, as we would be in a hurry to finalize the transfer in a week. But it's getting increasingly clear that we aren't interested in other positions.

Martins will be furious to read that.
By Marston Go To PostPepe signing would worry me if it was the end of our spending. Highly unlikely though.Highly likely that Tierney is tho. Unless Monaco does you a solid and buys Mustafa
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostSouth Americans dont fare too well at OT,
last good one was Tevez and we know how that turned out.
At least you are one of the few United fans that accepted Rafael being shit.
I'm beginning to #believe that Longstaff will be the glue that binds our team. He will be the Pogba-enabler, Dybakla-unleasher and Sanchez-redeemer rolled into one.
By Wahabipapangus Go To PostAt least you are one of the few United fans that accepted Rafael being shit.
eat turds, cumboy
Never wanted Tevez at OT and was happy when he left. I knew how much of a mess he'd be even before he landed at West Haram, and he didn't disappoint.
Look I've never seen Fernandes play
But since when are these CM from Portugal in their mind 20s worth that kind of money - they're just not
He's going to be a soft lad that likes those little flicks round the corner and can only play a good through ball cutting across the pitch in behind a full back who never learnt how to defend
Maybe that's enough to be a good midfielder in Portugal
Won't be close to good enough in the PL

By Xpike Go To Postin this market any promising player is gonna cost you a fortuneEverton just signed Moise Kean for €32m. Wolves snapped up Cutrone for only €18m.
tailor made for psg/barca/real/city

Well Bielik is about to join Derby for £10 million it seems and if we ditch Mustafi on top of that that’s two CB’s gone with no replacement. Ornstein says we’re still in for one so gotta see I guess.
By Vivalapizza Go To PostLook I've never seen Fernandes playThose balls in behind the fullbacks seem to work pretty well for City and Pool in the PL.

Have been surprised with how often James has played. Think Ole's got him set for the first 11 vs Chelsea.
I almost always agree with Vivas analysis of United transfers.
Would love to hear your Arsenal transfer review so far.

Respect for your honesty
So many others seem desperate to ruin his career
I've just seen a 'respectable' video of me dancing it out to the venga on my own on a dance floor at 3.30 am (with no headphones).
Almost wanna post it here. It's Big Sam at Ibiza worthy.

By Laboured Go To PostThink Viva's hope died the day the Buttner transfer didn't work out as he hoped.Seriously though - not being cynical just for the sake of it.
AWB and DJ I'm fully behind. And obv itd be amazing to get Dybala for Lukaku.
But why delude yourself into thinking Fernandes will be good. He won't. Can anybody give any examples of established midfielders leaving Portugal and even being decent? Neves is the only one. All the rest have been rubbish.
It's not about the mighty PL. I don't care about that. The players just aren't very good.
