By unknown Go To PostKD will be fine.
It's unlikely. History has proven otherwise for achilles injuries and depending on the severity of his...I no longer want KD on the NY payroll. He'll lose his explosion. He'll lose his ability to bring the ball up effectively. He'll basically turn into a straight up shooter and we've had that. His name was Carmelo.
Kemba seems like he wants to stay in Charlotte. Kyrie is now leaning to the Nets. Hell, even with Kyrie, the Knicks will win 35 max. They will be the Cavaliers pre-LBJ return.
Knicks are looking more and more likely to strike out this off season. And will probably make a stupid move out of desperation by giving KD the max regardless.
Our only hope is RJ turns out to be extremely good off the bat.

The Knicks need to move like a small market team and build the roster organically.

The expectations for NYK were absolutely massive, though. The Suns have no expectations. For God's sake, we pulled a trigger with Kristaps and dealt him without batting an eyelash thinking we had KD in the bag. People are going to start remembering that and rubbing it in NY's face if he happens to have a massive year in Dallas. While we continue to be fodder for teams trying to seed.
Also, damn does the quality of FAs drop hard after you look at the 4th/5th best name on that list...

Why are they always there for NY when they never do anything good.
Media helped drive some of the narrative. Buying into it time and again...

They got other assets besides cap space, which itself can be used for additional assets (Mills literally said this himself). The front office said from jump that they were committed to a slow patient rebuild and everyone just assumes they're lying for some reason. It's not their fault that the Knicks generate clicks for the media.

KP hasn't played basketball for a year and a half. They're lucky they got what they did.
By masud Go To PostlolI think it was a bad trade, but i get why they did it.

By masud Go To PostlolHe is 23/24 recovering from an injury with a great recovery rate... don't sell them wolf tickets over here

The fact that it's been almost 2 years is kind of alarming. Plus he's due his max extension that you have to pay him sight unseen or he might bail like he threatened to do to his last team? Naw two firsts (one unprotected) 30 million dollars in cap relief and DSJ is a good return for that.

Again if you got KD and did it for that it's a good trade but just cap space for the sake of cap space isn't that great
