Aye, but that was already the case with the 1000 and 2000 series. The difference between then and now though is that they're no longer lagging behind for gaming performance. It's a good thing, but it took them going to a 7nm node to compete with the performance of Intel's 14nm++++++++++++++++++++++++++++, which really speaks magnitudes to how good 14nm is for Intel.
Gonna be fun to watch the future unfold with competition back in the CPU space.
