I am watching my first Brazilian funk concert, a guy called Nego do Borel.
The guy sings terribly but this is one hell of a party.

Could well be BS but
City are being weird again. They don't want to buy Cancelo unless they insert Danilo into the deal. I don't think that's how it works
you don't go into a shop and make offers

Well.....ok.
I feel bad for Darmian. We don't play him because we don't want him. At the same time we don't want to sell him.
Pls set him free.

Milan officially withdraw from next season's Europa League. FFP
Torino will replace them, with Roma going straight to the group stages.

By Arnie Go To PostIf Milan would’ve got to the CL would they have been banned from that too?Supposedly.
UEFA can't let any of this shit pass after the leaks embarrassment. Which is why it doesn't bode well for City. The other clubs would riot.
By Arnie Go To PostIf Milan would’ve got to the CL would they have been banned from that too?Don't think so because of the potential earnings from CL that would soften the negative balance for last year.
Milan would also fight harder against UEFA in that situation, but as it is now I imagine the management is happy with the deal.
I wonder what this will mean for our mercato though with all these years of breaches eradicated now.
the biggest chunk of prize money comes from overseas TV rights, and the top 4 get almost double the prize money of EL spots. And some percentage of the distribution is based on the club's performance over the last 5 years, where they haven't finished higher than 6th place I believe.
maybe they should've sold Dormammu in retrospect.

I really wonder why some people are acting so butt hurt over that release clause of 150 million De Ligt (Raiola) supposedly demands. 150 million is double what he'll cost right now, seems like a very reasonable profit. Would also most likely make him the most expensive defender in history if the clause gets triggered in two or three years. And you'll get to have a brilliant player for at least a couple of years. Over here in Amsterdam it's never been any different, if we have a good player you know they'll be gone within a couple of years.
Because the clubs going in for him are of the sort of profile where they don't really wish to be used as a stepping stone for a 19 year old player. Also, Raiola is his agent so everyone knows what's coming down the line re that clause. With other agents it may be seen as cautionary but with Raiola it will be seen (and used) as a battering ram.

I'm sure we have a contingency plan. This is just as mad as Ronaldo's deal where we are clearly betting on the next two seasons.
blind faith in Paratici and the club

I mean, if they're balking at 70 million and 12 per year now, not sure how 150 million and 12+ (which will be double in Spain due to their taxes) is any easier to negotiate in two years. Ajax and their asking price was never really the problem

It's because it's a relatively low release clause in today's market, which means every mercato window is going to be rife with rumours about the player leaving for Real / PSG / United / City. And because it's something Juve fans aren't used to. Although we have a policy of allowing our players to leave without complicating matters, if they so choose, so all this changes is that we're guaranteed to get 150M€, which is probably higher than what we'd get otherwise. So I'm not too fussed about it, but I understand why some people are.
If you choose to believe the De Ligt to Juve stories, of course.

he's not a cow, he will have a say in it too. Just like Vardy, Suarez, Koke, Pedro etc did before when their release clauses were met.
if he still feels he could develop more/better here then he'll stay.
if he still feels he could develop more/better here then he'll stay.
Yeah 150 million is 70 on top of the most expensive defender currently walking around. So it's the kind of release clause that is realistic to be triggered at some point but also far from an insult to Juventus I'd say. And well, this is modern football for you. If the big boys don't want to play that game maybe it's time to start thinking about how fucked up this sport has become because of all the money spending. We're historically one of the biggest clubs in the sports history but we have the bad luck that we're situated in a country that can never compete financially anymore. We see our best players leave every transfer window. That's football for you in 2019. Unless you are one of Man. City, PSG, Barca and Real Madrid.
On a side note, I'm also pretty tired of the whole soap surrounding him. Without Raiola he probably would have signed somewhere by now. It's time to make up his mind and just pull the trigger on one of those clubs. But I feel like a deal is close now, there are rumours that we already put in a bid on Edson Alvarez, who should replace De Ligt for us. Could still also be PSV though who put in the offer.

Chiellini-De Ligt, Koulibaly-Manolas, and Godin-Skriniar-De Vrij.

By Laboured Go To PostI'm not doing the joke. You can't make me.Here's a good joke for you, though a bit overused: Smalling-Jones.
Imagine we played a whole season with De Ligt/Blind as CB's. Pretty world class for Eredivisie standards. I would definitely sign for a Toby/Blind partnership next year though. But that does seem unlikely sadly.

Unfortunately that was the joke. Have we not suffered enough?
By Laboured Go To PostUnfortunately that was the joke. Have we not suffered enough?Oh, I thought the joke was that United had failed to sign half of those centerbacks at some point in the recent past.
