Well, I read all that. Faraci is wrong about Cap, it doesn't work like that. He's making a lot of assumptions and they explain how it works in the movie. I also disagree about Tony's arc. And I think the distinction between "event" and "film" is meaningless. Yes, it's an event in a series of movies, a chapter finale. There's nothing that unique or inferior about it.
Meh.
Meh.
i feel like they could've pre-empted the complaints if they just had Old Steve wear the GPS. That would communicate explicitly "hey, this guy went to an ALTERNATE universe and came back after living a life fulfilled. Who knows what he got up to in the intervening years."
Just put that in the DVDs or something.

Saw the movie in AMC Prime 3D, idk if 3D got better but this shit was so good
Idk if I should be a believer in 3D or if this was a fluke. Anyone else watch it in 3D?

People out here wishing for these bum Marvel character movies is killing me
"Just give me a Power Pack movie and I'm good!"
"When are we going to get the D-Man movie??"

Lmao hahaha
I do think a distinction should be made, iw and endgame are as good as they are because they are a sum of their parts. Yes other marvel films are heavily connectected but watching previous films has never really been a requirement, where as I think with these two films (endgame especially) the characters, story, threat etc just don't hold the weight. There literally every other mcu film with a better written villan and I can appreciate if your not invested or haven't invested you may see them that way

yea, it was solid
I tend to watch a lot of big launch flicks this way because less people are interested in 3D and I can more easily get seats. The only downside to 3D these days is a slightly darker image. None of these films are really made for 3D--but I find that the depth can do nothing but improve certain scenes.
By reilo Go To PostDr Doom being the next villain in the MCU would be dope.
i feel like they are going to try some outlandish shit for this next run and have nothing to lose because they pull out the backup cards of x-men and fantastic four for the next one to get everyone back on board if it fails
adam warlock, eternals, shang chi, strange 2--this shit gonna b weird
mysterio shit in far from home might take a weird angle too

Haven't seen a movie in 3D for a while. Nowadays it's Dolby Cinema or wait for the UHD release for me.

Nowadays it's Dolby Cinema or wait for the UHD release for me.I originally saw the movie in Dolby Cinema, but we wanted to watch it again and it all sold out, Prime 3D was the only thing available and since we have A list we said fuck it and just decided to try it out.
I love both, but honestly leading towards Prime 3D and IMAX 3D from now on, gonna watch Detective Pikachu in 3D and see if 3D is actually legit now or if Endgame was the exception

Q: How did Thanos bring his army to the future?Oh, a wizard did it
A: There is a guy called Maw in his army, he was a great wizard. Thanos himself was a brilliant genius as well. Those two easily reverse engineered and mass produced Pym Particles.

By DY_nasty Go To PostI guess since a quarter of the planet has seen this we can drop spoilers tonight
Sound good?
lol I think a majority of people here have seen it because I don't think they would be able to avoid the spoilers for that long. Someone on the internet is bound to ruin it.

someone had to tell me that even when Thanos wielding all the stones on his glove, he didn't necessarily have the powers "turned-on" until he actually snapped his fingers. I was under the impression, once he set the stone, that specific power was activated. silly me.
I was confused on why end game thanos seemed more powerful than thanos with the glove.

No, he most definitely showed in IW that his powers were activated even without snapping his fingers. Hell, in Endgame he attached the Power stone to his free hand to punch the shit out of Captain Marvel.
I don't need characters to die, but who the fuck was standing in front of the sliding door, when Thanos tried to glass the area? Fuck allllllllllll the way out of here with them surviving. Lol
Lol @ them doing Carol like this. Made her a big deal and had to write her out of the film, cause she's to OD. I'm sleep.

naw, he has to actively 'use' the stone. there's no passives in play
like hulk got pieced up, it was just thanos having fun out there.
which is cool i guess because if anyone's gonna survive that splash its him

i think people kinda aren't getting that thanos in endgame is on some other shit compared to iw. infinity war thanos was a family man. endgame thanos is tired of these ungrateful motherfuckers
Oh he was. One of my criticism would be that they needed to spend a few more minutes developing him into that mindset for Endgame, because he was so thoughtful in IW that he kinda felt a bit more cartoony in Endgame. Which is fine, I just wish they did more (than they did) to show how he got himself into that mindset a bit.
i think they spent more time on everyone else tbh.... i get it, and it made sense. and as long as the movie was they owed more time to the main cast than thanos.
his whole character switch up comes in really short, blunt end strokes lol. he sees himself win and die chooses to hop timelines to run the score up. then his pop off before the ending sequence. so much shit happens in the third act that it kinda dulls the fact he pulls a driveby then posts up where traffic circle used to be like CLEARLY i already whooped yal asses before go ahead and get it off your chest before i murk yal again

Yea it was a complete switchup which made sense, it just needed more exposition to get him there imo.
Also, how good is Doctor Strange without the Time Stone? I guess that's the plot of his sequel, getting ahold of that stone somehow, if he can.
By reilo Go To PostAlso, how good is Doctor Strange without the Time Stone? I guess that's the plot of his sequel, getting ahold of that stone somehow, if he can.could hold his own for a few seconds vs. thanos
