The Knicks are still "locked on" selecting RJ Barrett at No. 3 in the draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.I'll take Morant in a second if someone wants to leapfrog the Knicks.
There was some buzz on Twitter with the Knicks working out Darius Garland today, especially after the Knicks had met with Frank Ntilikina and Kristaps Porzingis the day before taking them in previous drafts. Barrett was the No. 1 prospect coming out of high school and has proven he offers a sky-high upside. It'll be interesting to see how Barrett fits in with the Knicks having high hopes in free agency.
Wonder if Utah keeps Favors now or goes for a stretch 4.
Harrison Barnes would make a lot of sense on the Jazz tbh.

Thank God they're still locked in on him. I was getting worried, tbh. Was expecting Knicks things.
Let's talk about this Horford to the 76ers rumor.
And let's talk about this fake trade I just made up.
Jazz trade: Derrick Favors, Dante Exum
Jazz get: Tobias Harris
Celtics trade: Al Horford
Celtics get: Derrick Favors, Dante Exum
76ers trade: Tobias Harris
76ers get: Al Horford
Analysis: Favors is like all of Al Horford other than the shooting and dribbling and with much more athleticism. Favors and Exum have short term contracts which will allow the Celtics to have cap room soon while Favors immediately becomes Boston's best player and helps keep them in the playoffs. 76ers would have to basically do Harris for Horford to get Horford. Jazz make a fairly lateral move talent wise while taking on a lot of long-term money but Harris is a much better fit than Favors.

Who is Boston gonna sign with all the cap space, though? They never sign any of the marquee players.

The Knicks keep putting out these messages about White and Garland like they're begging somebody to trade for the 3.
The Knicks front office is just overly prepared. Look how many coaching candidates they interviewed last summer. I wouldn't put any stock in these workouts.

I hope they take RJ. He's the clear number 2 on my board.
All reports say they’re locked in on RJ. Probably working out other candidates in case someone trades up to #2 and takes him or if someone offers them a ridiculous deal for the 3rd pick
By Gaby Go To PostThey're overly incompetent.Yes because getting as much intel on players as possible is a bad thing... I'll take that over Pjax who didn't do shit and fell asleep during Donovan Mitchells work out.

What are we gonna do, I don't even know who these other guys are…
By masud Go To PostYes because getting as much intel on players as possible is a bad thing… I'll take that over Pjax who didn't do shit and fell asleep during Donovan Mitchells work out.Pretty sure I was the biggest critic of Jackson here, so we agree.
I'm not complaining about them talking to more players. It's good to already establish connections, it's legal tampering at that point.
By Gaby Go To PostPretty sure I was the biggest critic of Jackson here, so we agree. You and me were out on Pjax the second he resigned Melo, I remember. But what are you complaining about then? What incompetent moves have they made since Perry came on board?

I don't like Knox, the Kanter situation was poorly handled, I think the Porzingis trade leaned in the Mavs favor a bit much and DSJ, Burke and Mudiay are pretty much the same guy making it hard to capitalize on assets when other teams see the mess.
Get RJ and we're in the green, IMO.
(I get it that Burke left and Mudiay was a rental, but my point is we have too many underperforming selfish guards and one shitty unselfish one)

By Doomsayer Go To PostLakers drafted well enough to trade for Anthony Davis. The kinda didn't?
By Doomsayer Go To PostLakers drafted well enough to trade for Anthony Davis. The centerpiece of the trade was the 9 mil first round picks you gave away and not Lonzo/Ingram because the latter was included to make salaries match?
I mean Ingram is already in the 80th percentile when it comes to ISO scoring (besting Kyrie, Derozan, LBJ, and Jimmy Butler). If he gets a 3 ball and learns to hit free throws he should be a 20+ ppg scorer, easily. His defense is already good enough.
Lonzo has the potential to be an All-NBA defender and has already showed flashes of being able to lock down opposing players. I think players shot 31% against Lonzo last year. Much like with Ingram if he becomes a 36% three point shooter and can hit free throws he's a good starter in the league. He also needs to stay healthy.
Josh Hart could be a 3&D guy, he had a bad sophomore season but he was hurt all year and was playing the backup power forward spot, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
Also Ingram is the best wing the Pelicans have had in a long, long time.
