By blackace Go To Postwho would the Grizzlies want from Utah?Assume it would be something like Favors 16M, Exum 9M, Korver 7.5M. Which gets you to 32.5M. Close enough to matching Conley.
Buy out Korver. Favors is only on for one year. Exum 2 @ 9m.6 per.
Then you could play Favors with JJJ and see how that works. Save JJJ some of the punishment of C while he bulks up, and stagger their minutes.
I mean, I'm assuming Utah throw in a pick.
By masud Go To PostI could be wrong but I think Utah is far enough under the cap that the salaries wouldn't have to match.
10M under give or take. They may not need to send out Korver. Or have to keep Exum.
Largely about cap relief for memphis (plus a first).

#23 for Conley is pretty bad return though, but i guess there aren't many suitors
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postthink you might be rightI don't think so, with that contract Conley is approaching negative value.

Suns were reportedly still interested. But how far those talks got ... I think he'd be good on denver too, give them some consistency.
The hard part for most will be the size of the contract.
For the Utah trade I need
Exums full medical report posted for everyone to see
Grant Williams at 23
A 2022 pick with minimal protections
I don’t need an expiring Conley is walking away at the end of the year 34 million be damned he has made it clear he is done here

Favors is the one guy on our team that is a lot better than people realize, i hope if we do trade (or let him go) him it's to a team that can both really use him and a good team.
By giririsss Go To PostGiving up $34m?
Conley is not going to pick up his player option here. So doing a trade based solely on expirings with the idea of getting off his money a year early is pointless
In the end I don’t think Utah has anything of value unless they just unload multiple future picks so I don’t expect him to be traded there. I would bet on the Pacers or Miami before Utah
Utah is only going to be 10 million under the cap they still need to find 20 million + to make it work out

I know he's said he's unhappy, but haven't seen anywhere he's not picking up his option. And ... for $34M you figure out a way to be happy.
I can't see him passing on it.
If he comes out and states that, then yeah, it would really change the landscape for trades.

He isn't going to go public with it similar to how Marc did it. He is just going to keep saying he wants to play for a contender. He would tell the team he was leaving and if nothing happened June 30 2020 would come around and it would be a Woj bomb that he is gone.

I could probably get talked into a Conley for Wiggins trade if some of the other details were right.

That would be a fantastic trade to see happen
By blackace Go To PostMakes more sense than taking a paycut to play with LBJIf you are of the belief Kawhi's agents control him and want him in a big market, I guess it kinda makes sense? But there has been no chatter on that front at all, and it makes much more sense for him to go to the Clippers. I mean even if he wanted to stay in the East, there are teams in better situations that are big markets he can go to like Philly or Boston.
I think Knicks just need to stop that noise and try to get a few guys that would make Durant want to sign in the summer of 2020 (would have to retain a max spot for him).
By pilonv1 Go To PostThat would be a fantastic trade to see happenFuck yeah, KAT playing with Love at PF would be sweet. Plus a Wiggins/Sexton LU would be where assists go to die.

So the Jazz's targets this offseason are:
-Conley
-Tobias Harris
-D'Angelo Russell
In an unclear order, but that's not super relevant, they just really hope to get one of these guys.
Conley is already signed to $30m a year, would guess Tobias and Russell would demand $30m a year also but for four years.
Russell really needs to get more efficient... Just a terrible paint scorer in volume, effectiveness, and drawing fouls. Would really like it if he moved from 40% of his shots being threes to 60% of his shots.
Tobias and Conley would be fine.

"Likes" also function as bookmarks, in a sense. So just as RT =/= endorsements, neither do likes, necessarily.
I don't think the Wolves are actively shopping Wiggins. They hired the coach he likes, they're letting him play for team Canada again and they convinced him to stay in Minnesota this summer so Saunders can help him work out.
Plus, they'd basically get nothing of value back right now because of the contract. Which is probably the most important thing. He's basically a sunk cost.

The only thing that I would be concerned about with Tobias Harris is that we would have no money for a PG.
That would force Mitchell into being a full time PG and he's a very inconsistent passer and decision maker as of now.
Could help him focus on passing and decision making this offseason though if he knows he's going to be the full time PG.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIf I'm LA I target Pat Bev, Ariza, Danny Green and Seth Curry.Yup, those are the EXACT players I listed yesterday. All can defend (except Curry) and should all be able to hit the ball at above league average. I wouldn't even mind kicking the tires again on KCP (ugh) and even Terrance Ross. Though I'm not sure how well Ross can defend.
My biggest issue with Green is that he completely disappeared during the Raps playoff run. He shot 34% from the field and 32% from 3.
